Ryanâs Network Review - Monday Night Wars Episode 003
Oh you didnât know? Its the return of Ryan Network Reviews back with episode three of the Network series, Monday Night Wars. Thus far, weâve seen WWEâs biggest babyfaces jump ship and we also saw the birth of the New World Order. With his back up against the wall, Vince McMahon decides to change the direction his company is going in by introducing a little attitude.
Now, Vince McMahon had a very talented roster at that time. We were seeing the likes of new superstars Rocky Miavia, Hunter Hurst Helmsley, The Ringmaster and more. The only issue: none of these on-screen characters were getting over with the shrinking audience that WWF had left. He had to do something to change things. The Ringmaster evolved into the man we know today, Stone Cold Steve Austin by adding a little attitude to the wrestling scene. Feuding with former best friend Brian Pillman, Austin had a fire fueled feud with Pillman. He was even met by Pillmanâs gun after Austin decided to break into his house. The next week, McMahon and the WWF quickly apologized for the offensive television but also stressed the fact that 75% of the feedback they got was positive.
Prepping the audience, networks, and the sponsors of the new, edgy direction of the company allowed them to express the content that the WWF audience wanted. Introducing more mature characters such as Val Venis, The Godfather, DX, âSexual Chocolateâ Mark Henry, and more, WWF began making a ratings comeback against their competitor WCW. With a roster filled with the biggest superstars, Vince started to focus more on his female roster by adding divas such as Sunny, which added a little sexyness to the WWF screen. What was WCWâs response to this edgy move? They decided to add The Nitro Girls, who would dance going to and coming back from break.
Now by pushing the envelope week after week, sometimeâs both companies would just put the corniest ideas on tv, such as Mae Young giving birth to a hand. While they both offered racy content, smaller Philadelphia promotion ECW was offering non-traditional wrestling on a weekly basis with matches including things such as chairs, tables, barbed wire bats, and blood. Being the original company they are, WWF took some of ECWâs ideas and began showing more violent matches on their weekly programming. This introduced the Hardcore matches and with that brought the Hardcore championship which was given to Mankind as joke from Mr. McMahon. The title itself is funny because it came with things like the 24/7 rule, which means the Hardcore Champion could be pinned anywhere, anytime, by anyone. Hell, even one of Godfatherâs hoes was a hardcore champion at one point.
Introducing matches like the Inferno Match, First Blood Match, and the infamous TLC match, WWF began improving in the ratings war against WCW. Now the superstars that Vince had at the beginning of this time are now evolving. The Ringmaster? Now Stone Cold. Rocky Miavia? Now cocky trash talker The Rock. Hunter Hurst Helmsley? Try crotch chopping, suck it saying superstar Triple H. And now the superstars that Eric Bischoff had acquired are starting to get old and stale. Turn on WCW and itâs going to be saturated with nWo t-shirts, corny storylines, and Hulk Hogan going over on the little guys. With the evolution of his superstars, Vince McMahon also had evolved his on-screen persona. He is now the evil, asshole of a boss that everyone wants to punch in the pelvis. This created great chemistry on television between McMahon and Stone Cold because America was living vicariously though Austin when he wailed on his boss on a weekly basis. With this feud building, WCWâs checkbook began to tighten up and their ratings started to drop. But how do they take down WCW completely?
Well this was the third installment of my review of the Monday Night Wars. Iâll be back soon enough with the rest of my reviews and whatnot. Keep your eyes peeled. Or donât. Whatever.
Ryanâs Network Review - Monday Night Wars Episode 002
Back again with another installment of the Monday Night Wars review from your boy, Ryan. Tonight we will be covering a one of the factions that single handedly changed the landscape of wrestling, the nWo. Now the New World Order initially consisted of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall. This faction allowed WCW to win the ratings war for quite some time.
In September 1995, Monday Night Nitro was direct competition for WWFâs Monday Night Raw. Within this time frame, two superstars from the new generation began to rise to the top of the company, Razor Ramon (Scott Hall) and Big Daddy Cool Diesel (Kevin Nash). These two men helped carry the company after Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage leaving. Now with these two characters killing it in their spot, not all of Vinceâs ideas got over. He continued to exhibit the Godwins, King Mabel, Doink the Clown and more to the general audience, which was a bit insulting to us. Whatâre we? 5 year olds? Come on now.
WCW continued to battle with WWF, but seemed to fall just below the marker. With that being said, Eric Bischoff looked to acquire more of WWFâs talent. When Razorâs contract was up for renewal, Bischoff moved in with the Ted Turner checkbook. The amount offered was for about 150 days, which would be the amount of money made with WWF in about a year. Razor discussed this with Diesel and Diesel brought this to Vinceâs attention to see if he could match it to keep him with the company. Unfortunately at this time, Vince McMahon did not offer guaranteed contracts to his athletes so Kevin Nash (sort of pressured by his wife) left the WWF and joining Razor Ramon on WCW television.
Razor Ramon walked out on Monday Night Nitro and interrupted a match and cut a promo telling the audience they know who he is, but they donât know why he was here. Little did the audience know, WCW had signed Scott Hall and Kevin Nash to a WCW contract. On June 10, 1996 Kevin Nash joined his Kliq counterpart on WCW television by contributing to a promo that seemed like Razor and Diesel have take over WCW per Vince McMahonâs orders, and this ushered in a whole new attitude (no pun intended) to the wrestling world.
Now, the audience had no idea that Scott Hallâs and Kevin Nashâs contracts were up with WWF just six days apart. Bischoff catches wind of this and immediately offers them guaranteed contracts to gain their workmanship. The audience is under the impression they are still with the WWF and they were sent by Vince to send a message to WCW for acquiring all of their previous talent. Also, mind you, neither Hall or Nash referred to themselves as Razor Ramon or Diesel respectively. They were commonly referred to as The Outsiders by the WCW commentators and fellow announcing staff.
Now this is the where the war begins to heat up. Eric Bischoff saw that WWFâs talent were used as corny, kiddish characters so he decided to use reality as a basis of his story lines. With this, he managed to never mention Razor Ramon or Diesel by character names, yet they did reference âYou know who we areâ meaning we are the WWF. Vince then sued Turner and his company for gimmick infringement as Hall and Nash continued to use their WWF character mannerisms on WCW television.
The Outsiders immediately helped WCW in the ratings war with the WWE. Instead of building characters, Bischoff decided to use real names for his wrestler, hence Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The Outsiders continued to heat up TV sets with their on-air personas and they began to tease a third member of the Outsiders. With some of the previous WWFâs superstars starting to get old (figuratively) in the company, the crowd started booing for some of the greatest. WWF had a deadman as a babyface, and WCW was ready to change it up as well. Hulk Hogan had got in contact with Eric Bischoff to discuss who the third guy would be and Bischoff said he didnât know. Hulk Hogan let him know who the third member was quickly.
On July 7, 1996, the Outsiders introduced their third member. Macho Man and Sting teamed together to take down the Outsiders in a tag team match. Mid-match, Hulk Hogan began walking to the ring to save his olâ pal Mach Man Randy Savage. Little did we know, Hulk was actually there to drop a leg drop on Randy Savage and introduce himself as the third man of the Outsiders. My God. Hulk Hogan just turned heel in the ring on his old friend, Macho Man Randy Savage. While Hogan held up Nash and Hallâs arms, the crowd began to throw cans, cups, food, and more trash into the ring onto the wrestling villains. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall even had to kick a drunk fan as he crawled into the ring. Poor Mean Gene. He has to cut a promo with Hulk Hogan as trash litters the ring with fans booing while he talks about the New World Order being the future of wrestling.
The future of wrestling features sports entertainmentâs biggest babyface as a badass heel spray painting wrestlers, beating up cruiserweights, cheating in matches and dying his beard. Hollywood Hulk Hogan was born. This caused WWF to make a desperate move. The commentators began teasing a Diesel and Razor return. This continued up until their highly promoted return while Hall and Nash were being offered more money from WCW not to leave the company. Nash and Hall are watching Monday Night Raw in the production truck on September 30, 1996 when the return of Razor and Diesel (which is actually Glenn Jacobs aka Kane) return on WWF television. The crowd began to turn on this idea and WCW fed off of it.
They continued to showcase the nWo every week and built them up as the baddest dudes in the arena. It showed them causing ruckus in the production truck, in the ring, outside of trailers throwing Rey Mysterio, getting the authorities called on them and more. These reality driven storylines allowed them to lead in the ratings and the Monday Night Wars.
Now, the nWo concept was originally a WCW idea. It was actually a storyline from NJPW but it wasnât ever done on American television. WCW also began making nWo vignettes featuring Hogan, Nash, and Hall in black and white grainy shots with their entrance music playing in the background. Again, something different for itâs time.
The nWo was the main focus on WCW Monday Night Nitro so they began building momentum quickly and began ârecruitingâ new members for the group, starting with the Giant, continuing with Ted DiBiase, 1-2-3 Kid, Virgil and more. Hell, even Eric Bischoff joined the nWo. Now this was turning into an issue backstage with other wrestlers and employees of WCW. Most people hated the nWo, storyline and reality wise. No one wanted to continue to job out to the nWo week after week, so wrestlers would slowly but surely start joining the reigning faction.
At this point, the nWo was considered separate from the WCW company, The ran their own vignettes, promos, PPVs and storylines so the idea of independence was enforced heavily. This gained momentum in the ratings and it continued to crush WWF in the war. Now WWF realizes they need to change up the circus type characters and introduce some adult type of content to Monday nights to win this war.
The New Era Championships.
Congrats Shinsuke Nakamura on becoming the NXT Champion!

Ryanâs Network Review - Monday Night Wars Episode 001
As a kid who grew up watching the Monday Night Wars, watching it in retrospect makes things a lot clearer. Now, if you arenât familiar with the Monday Night Wars, Iâll be taking the next few days to sort of explain what they are by covering a WWE Network original series, The Monday Night Wars.
How did the Monday Night Wars start? Well it begins with Hulk Hogan gaining major cable television network exposure, mixed with the business sense of Vince McMahon, combined with a growing audience across the globe. Now Vince McMahon at the time was airing his WWF programming on both the USA Network and the Ted Turner owned, TBS Superstation. Thatâs right. At one point in time, Vince and Ted were partners. Now TBS Superstation has always aired wrestling, with the help of NWA Wrestling and Georgia Championship Wrestling. But at the time, Ted Turner had purchased NWA Wrestling from Jim Crockett Promotions and didnât exactly turn it into anything he wanted it to. But at the same time, WWF was also tanking in ratings due to bad creative writing, corny characters, and pre-taped events so this called for some (shall we say) different programming.
To change things up, Vince McMahon wanted to due something different and âraw,â as he called it. Enter Monday Night Raw here. Vince decides he wants to start up a live wrestling show weekly on Mondays in the Manhattan Center. That should solve all the issues, right? Well, not quite.
Due to the new influx of new, younger wrestlers like Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Bret Hart and more, Vince McMahon didnât rely on Hulk Hogan as much to carry the company like he had in the past, so Hulk Hogan left the WWF. Vince had plans to push Lex Luger as the American Patriot that Hulk Hogan had once been for the company, but he wasnât as over as Hogan was.
With the WWFâs face gone, Lex Luger not being as over as wanted to be, Vince losing money doing live shows weekly, it appears that WCW was starting up on itâs turn around by hiring a man that would change the face of wrestling competition forever, Eric Bischoff. Eric would be hired on as Executive Producer of WCW.
With Bischoff coming in and turning the wrestling promotion around, he felt that the current announcers and commentators that WCW had were too âsouthernâ sounding, being reminiscent of the NWA & GCW days. With that being said, Bischoff got rid of little known announcer, Jim Ross and hired on previous WWF announcers: âMeanâ Gene Okerlund and Bobby âThe Brainâ Heenan. In combination with Tony Schiavone, WCW was prepared to put on a new show from the MGM Studioâs sound stage and take wrestling where it hasnât been before.
With the new setup, Eric Bischoff was on a mission to acquire new wrestling talent for WCW. While Hulk Hogan left wrestling to start doing movies and TV shows such as âThunder In Paradise,â Hogan was approached by Bischoff and Ric Flair in Florida (where both shows were being filmed) and was told they want him to come back to wrestling. Hulk Hogan would go and decline over and over, but hen he finally caved and signed with WCW.
Wow. Hulk Hogan leaves WWF to be in show business as more than a wrestler, he then signs with WWFâs direct competition, WCW. Vince McMahon took it personal, however he understands why it happened looking at it from a business stand point. Ted Turner paid BIG bucks for Hogan to be exclusive to WCW and it paid off by raising itâs promotions awareness across the country. Ted Turnerâs big bucks didnât stop there. The payroll got the attention of another WWF superstar, âMacho Manâ Randy Savage.
Randy Savage was no longer wrestling in WWF, due to the current âyouthâ movement that drove Hulk Hogan away so he was on color commentary with Vince McMahon. One day, November 7, 1994 to be exact, Randy Savage was no longer with the WWF and he appeared on WCW television for the first time on December 3, 1994. Kevin Nash was quoted saying âthey didnât see that one comingâ and âwas shockedâ knowing he left for the competition.
With Ted Turnerâs ego at his biggest, he called Eric Bischoff into his office to ask him what WCW could do to compete with Vince McMahon & WWF and Bischoff (sarcastically) said âgive me prime time.â Turner looked at Bischoff and told him he would have two hours every Monday Night on TNT. Now heâs going head to head with Vince on the same night, and heâs still acquiring talent.
Lex Lugerâs contact expired with the WWF on a Sunday and the next night on Monday, he walked out in front of a packed Mall of America crowd on WCW Monday Night Nitro to fire the official first shot at WWF during the Monday Night Wars. Luger walked out to everyoneâs surprise and just stared at Sting and Ric Flair on a night that Raw wasnât on TV. This came to a surprise to all the WWF superstars. No two week notice, no contract negotiations. He just walked onto the competitionâs television program.
Over 2.5 million viewers tuned in for the first live broadcast of Monday Night Nitro, causing a strong buzz from the jump. The next week they go head to head with WWF for the first time and itâs up against a taped episode of WWF Monday Night Raw, which allowed WCW to leak results of the matches live on television to prevent them from channel surfing.
To add insult to injury, on December 18th, 1995 former WWF Womanâs Champion Alundra Blayze showed up on Monday Night Nitro to drop her Womanâs Championship from WWF into a trash can live on television. It goes without saying, but Vince McMahon and the WWF as a whole took this as a personal shot rather than a business move.
Vince McMahon began to air parodies and skits making fun of Ted Turner and the former WWF superstars that had signed with WCW such as Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage (The Huckster and The Nacho Man respectively). This would be the first time WWF acknowledged WCW on television, which shows that WCW is legitimate competition to WWF. From here on, wrestling as a whole would change.
So to summarize this episode, it starts discussing the change from the 80s to the 90s type of wrestling and their Superstars. Vince McMahon took all of this personal while Ted Turner started WCW and decided to go up against Vince McMahon as a joke just to give him some competition. Classic. This series continues on into detail about each major superstar from this time period that helped win the war for WWE and I plan to cover each episode on this blog throughout the next few weeks.
Keep your eyes peeled.
Although I've been slacking, I'll try to write at least two blogs a week about the current WWE product. Sorry, but I've been lazy as hell. -Wyte

The Undertaker vs. Shane McMahon: A Retrospect
The Undertaker vs. Shane McMahon: A Retrospect
Triple H, Shane & Vince McMahon vs. the Rock, Kane, and the Undertaker
June 24, 2000 - King of the Ring
This match is relatively remembered for the Undertaker Chokeslamming Shane McMahon through the Spanish announce table from the top rope. The crowd went nuts and JR shouted that the Undertaker broke Shane McMahon into a thousand pieces. Meanwhile, Vince tries to hit the Peopleâs Elbow on the Rock and he jumps up charismatically to hit him with the Rock Bottom for the win and WWE Championship.
Shane McMahon & DDP vs. the Undertaker & Kurt Angle
July 12, 2001 - SmackDown!
Now, this was during the Invasion angle and WWE painted Diamond Dallas Page to be some sort of creep stalking the Undertakerâs wife (at the time), Sara. Shane and DDP come running to the ring and DDP stayed outside while Shane slid in for an assbeating by Taker. DDP kept his distance which resulted in the Undertaker and Kurt Angle beating on Shane for much of the match. Finally, DDP gets in the ring and Angle begins working him. Then Taker is tagged in, causing the WWE Universe to pop like no other. The Phenom went to pin DDP and Shane broke the pin up. Taker stood him up and Shane started punching the Deadman with little effect.
Match ends via DQ in the favor of the WWE
Now these were the only two matches that I could find between the Undertaker and Shane McMahon. With that being said, if you find one that I didnât list donât let me know. I couldnât care less.
With WrestleMania 32 less than a week away, the on match Iâm actually excited for is the Undertaker/Shane match. Given the stipulations it could be very interesting. Do I think Taker is going to lose to Shane McMahon? No. Well, at least not going to lose in a clean manner. Iâm not sure how you could win a Hell in a Cell match in a dirty way, but a McMahon could figure out a way. So if Shane wins, he takes control of Monday Night Raw (and surprisingly, not WWE as a whole) and if Taker loses he has to now retire. I could see this being a way for Undertaker to retire, but not to Shane McMahon. This was supposed to be John Cenaâs spot, and unless Shane hired Cena with his Wolverine like healing powers, I donât see Shane taking the win. I guess we will see come April 3rd.

Only seven days away! #PKRN #MWM #WWE #wrestlemania (at Phoenix, Arizona)
My URFight Experience
So on March 20th, my girlfriend, my co-host âNastyâ Noah, and myself went to the URFight even in Phoenix, Arizona at the Celebrity Theater. Now, lemme preface this by saying I was ONLY going to see Kurt Angle wrestle, Iâm not an MMA fan, and we sat next to a bunch of fellow marks. And hereâs my review of the night:
Dan Severn Promo Dan Severn did not fight at the event as scheduled. There were three different opponents lined up (first one being MMA legend, Ken Shamrock) after the previous one wouldnât commit. However, he did come out and talk to the crowd and he also sat four rows in front of me.
Shannon Ritch (w) vs. Maverick Harvey During the first part of the match, Maverick knocked Ritch out of the ring and just started putting HANDS all over this dude. However, Ritch caused Harvey to tap out from a submission hold in the second round.
Chael Sonnen vs Michael Bisping (DRAW) This grappling match ended in a draw. This match was extremely boring with very little takedowns. The entire time (with all do respect to the boring grappling we saw) we were yelling out, âGet to the real wrestling! Bring out Angle!â Good sports about it afterwards, but still I was so bored.
RiFF RaFF Performed Three Songs During Intermission Nobody knew his music. Nasty Noah and myself were banging like... well like two white boys listening to obnoxious rap music such as RiFFâs.
Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio (w) (2 out of 3 Falls) This match was legit as hell. The entire time we were stereotypical marks saying the most obnoxious stuff while the match was going on.
Roy Jones, Jr. (w) vs. Vyron Phillips Bro, Roy Jones Jr. might be a little past his prime, however the man can STILL beat your face into your ass. The first round was a whole lot of nothing but dancing around, but come the second round, Jones knocked Phillips flat on his face. In good sportsmanship, he did give him a hug after the bout.
Things to note: I legit marked out when I saw Jim Ross arrive. Then seeing Kurt Angle made me wanna scream like an excited five year old kid. RiFF RaFF doesnât know how to hold a mic when performing Sucks for Vyron Phillips for not winning the $100,000.

This is footage captured from the hosts of the wrestling podcast, Marks with Mics. We were live at the event where Kurt Angle & Rey Mysterio had a 2 out of 3...
Be sure to watch our point of view during the URFight from Phoenix, AZ on March 20, 2016!
My WrestleMania 32 Fantasy Booking
Booking WrestleMania 32
Being a fan of the wrestling business, I look forward to the WrestleMania season just like the rest of you. Beginning with Royal Rumble, this decides the Superstar who will have the opportunity to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of the biggest show of the year, WrestleMania. The PPV between the Rumble and  Mania is usually a hit or miss. Iâm not a fan of the Fastlane concept, however Roadblock wasnât that bad of a special this year. This time of year unfortunately, a lot of WWEâs main roster is on the injury list, leaving the show of shows a lot more bare than expected. With that being said, Iâm going to switch the WrestleMania card up this year with the following:
First, the Pre-Show!
Summer Rae vs. Brie Bella This would be a match on the pre-show card. I would have placed Cameron in this spot but she isnât currently on the main roster and the remaining Divas wouldnât fit on the pre-show. Summer Rae is pre-show material and Brie Bella has to take the fall for Divas division on this one.
R-Truth & Goldust vs. the Usos Together as Golden Truth, Goldust and R-Truth, this would be a match that would get them over more as a tag team match. This match would have a lot of comedic elements to it, granted the chemistry amongst the Superstars involved.
Now on to the PPV...
United States Championship Match Kalisto vs. Neville This has the potential of being a very well executed high flying match. This could be used as an opportunity to showcase the up and coming âCruiserweightâ division and use the United States championship to elevate the Superstars involved. John Cena used the title as a way to showcase mid-card talent each week on Raw, and the belt hasnât meant as much since heâs held it so this would be a great way to keep the championship momentum up, and spotlight the smaller Superstars on the roster.
8 Man Tag Match Social Outcasts vs. League of Nations This would be a throwaway match. You have to have a random match on the PPV card that the WWE bookers feel need to show itâs face on TV, and this would be it. The Social Outcasts would come out and cut a promo on the League of Nations and the LON would begin wailing on them. The PPV would cut to an advertisement for the WWE Network and would return to the match mid-rest hold. Social Outcasts would get squashed by the League of Nations.
Intercontinental Championship Match Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles Given that both of these guys have been all over the indie scene for the years, they would give the IC title belt credibility it needs. I look at the IC title as a prestigious snobby cousin of the Heavyweight title. The IC champion needs to have an edge to them and Owens fills that spot very well. Adding AJ Styles to the mix would call for a great match with innovative moves between the two. Then with the weeks to follow, Kevin will do anything to retain the title and Sami Zayn begins to enter the feud. I would prefer that over a multiman IC title match.
Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt (Braun Strowman) This match would be a lot like the match from Roadblock. WWE advertised Bray Wyatt against Lesnar, but what we got was an impromptu 2-on-1 handicap match with the addition of Luke Harper... then Bray Wyatt didnât participate in the match at all. WrestleMania would essentially be the same, only with Braun Strowman substituting Harperâs appearance. Strowman would show Lesnar some competition being a big guy, but it would add more of a pop to the German suplexes Lesnar will lay on him. Midway through the match, the Braun Strowman would be F-5âd through the announce table and Lesnar would finally go after Wyatt and they would exchange blows. Lesnar would plow through Wyatt and hit him with eight German suplexes and two F-5âs for the win.
Tag Team Championship Match The New Day vs. Team Angle Return (Kurt Angle return, Gable & Jordan debut) This would be a match that was put in for a pop and to build on a bigger story. New Day would retain the tag titles in a heelish manner, but this would build into a great story of the lack of respect for the Tag Team titles. Team Angle feels that the New Day makes a mockery of the tag team idea and theyâre there to give it honor again.
Divas Championship Match Charlotte vs. Natalya This would go on to be a longer match with a lot of submission trading back and forth. The match at Roadblock should have happened at WrestleMania. Lets pretend Bret Hart didnât just have surgery to have his prostate removed, and say he joins Natalya ringside while Flair joins Charlotte, a lot like the NXT match the had back in the day. Flair would try to interfere to help Charlotte retain the title, and Bret Hart would begin laying punches into Flair, and he would do his famous Flair face bump. Natalya would take the title with the Sharpshooter and Charlotte would be tapping out, with the crowd popping for Natty.
Semi Main Event Match The Undertaker vs. Sting This is the match that every 90s kid that watched wrestling during the Monday Night Wars wants to see. The face of WCW against the anchor of the WWE. Iâm not sure who I would book to win this bout, but it would be a match with a lot of storytelling. Perhaps end the match with a dusty finish, and have a face to face confrontation on post-Mania Raw. Between Match Promo The Rock cuts a promo on the Authority & Vince McMahon being a tired out idea. The Rock talks about the match prior being an epic, once in a life time match that will go down as being timeless as we witnessed two of the greatest Superstars of all time retire from the business they dedicated their life to. The Rock breaks kayfabe telling Triple H man to man that the greatest thing they do is entertain and the idea of the Authority being âbest for businessâ is just foolish, and frankly outdated. The Rock will then put his cousin, Roman Reigns, over to the WWE Universe. The Rock will then ask if he agrees with what he is saying. Triple H will begin to answer the Rock and the Rock will cut him off with one of his classic âIt doesnât matter!...â lines and the crowd will pop. Triple H will say some witty line, and he and the Rock will stare each other in the eyes for a moment and Triple H will kick the Rock in the stomach. The Peopleâs Champ will give Triple H his stare and he will begin laying hands on the COO. The two will begin to brawl and the Rock will end up giving the Peopleâs Elbow to Triple H and the Dallas crowd will shit bricks.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose This match would be exactly what you expect it to be. This would be a story of two brother fighting it out for something they have both worked for their entire careers. After the bout, Seth Rollins will make a magical return and attack the current champion to get what is rightfully his.
Obviously, Iâm not a fan of the Shane McMahon angle with him taking control over WWE. I like the idea that he will change things, but I feel that things WONâT actually change. The same BS writing, and weird feuds to setup. I would even prefer Shane having Sting wrestle for him to earn the control of WWE. I think that WWE should book an angle where they bring back the Invasion, but use NXT stars. Perhaps thatâs an article in itself.
Until next time.

Prior Knowledge Radio: April 2016
WWE Wrap Up - Week of 03/07/16
WWE Raw 03-07-16 All State Arena Chicago. IL
McMahon Promo
Things to note: Vince botched and called the Undertaker just âthe Underâ when first coming out Vince acknowledged the crowd chanting âassholeâ and âCM Punkâ Vince botched again and said âWEâ event instead of âWWE Eventâ when talking about Shaneâs first wrestling match Shaneâs looked like a seven year old getting in their first fist fight when he fought the security guards
Kevin Owens (c) vs. Neville
Things to note: That GREAT German Suplex from Kevin Owens That GREAT flipping Moonsault from Owens off the top rope Sami Zaynâs return Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens chemistry
Brie Bella vs. Summer Rae
Things to note: Brie wearing Nikki-esq booty shorts instead of her legging tights. Brie Bellaâs pale legs. Summer Raeâs terrible roll up pin. Lanaâs beautiful ass.
League of Nations (Barrett, Sheamus, Rusev) vs. Dolph Ziggler
Things to note: Adding the elimination stipulation to the tag match makes it seem like Ziggler will win with an underdog feel, but only one member was eliminated
Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch vs. Naomi & Tamina
Things to note: Sasha Banks is beautiful The match was about two minutes long
Y2AJ vs. New Day (Tag Team Championship Match)
Things to note: The face Big E makes when he shakes his junk. That nasty springboard reverse DDT from AJ Â to Kofi Kingston. T he strength of Big E. The three Codebreakers Jericho put on AJ Styles. Kevin Dunn cutting to people reacting to the Jericho heel turn. The missed opportunity to turn AJ Styles heel.
Kalisto (c) vs. Tyler Breeze
Things to note: The Tyler Breeze character shouldnât wear his hair down. This match was fairly short.
Curtis Axel vs. Ryback
Things to note: Ryback looking awkward while doing a Thesz Press
Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt
Things to note:
Bray Wyatt asking Ambrose while he was down, âAre you afraid of yourself?â
They brought out Triple H instead of Brock Lesnar to beat on Ambrose.
WWE Road Block 03-12-16 Toronto, Canada
New Day (c) vs. League of Nations (Sheamus & King Barrett)
Things to note: Big E referred to King Barrett as Wade Barrett, which hasnât been done in some time. Byron said he might need to âsample those Booty-Os.â Sheamus looks very awkward on the top rope. Kofi had a nice botch jumping from the top rope onto Sheamus. New Day dancing is not for a PG environment.
Chris Jericho vs. Jack Swagger
Things to note: Jericho said Canada stinks and Toronto is the anus. Coincidentally, my WWE Network skipped and repeated itself when Jericho said âalways playing catch up.â Jack Swagger matches still put me to sleep. JBL chanting âYou still got it!,â will now be a sample on the Marks with Mics podcast.
Enzo & Big Cass (w/ Carmella) vs. The Revival (C) (Tag Team Championship Match)
Things to Note: Enzoâs âIâm in painâ moan the camera picked up as he rolled put of the ring. WWE Networkâs audio feed blows dick because it cut out multiple times during the match. Enzo Amoreâs hair stylist has a lot of patience. Â
Charlotte (c) vs. Natalya (Divas Championship Match)
Things to Note: Charlotte (being champion) came out first. Michael Cole referred to Charlotte as âthe dirtiest Diva in the game,â in homage to her fatherâs moniker, but it seems worse when itâs a womanâs nickname. The crowd popped like crazy when Natty locked in the first Sharpshooter. Charlotteâs great use of an elevated heel pin.
Bray Wyatt (Luke Harper) vs. Brock Lesnar
Things to note: Luke Harperâs badass Suplex City vest. The fact that Bray Wyatt made the executive decision to make this a handicap match, and the official allowed this. Brock Lesnar mouthing his name while Paul Heyman announced him. Lesnar hit seven suplexs.
Sami Zayn vs. Stardust
Things to note: Cole mentioned that the âOleâ chants are for Sami Zayn but didnât explain why (See El Genericoâs Theme Song for reference). Hulk Hoganâs name was mentioned on commentary. Â
Triple H (C) vs. Dean Ambrose WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Things to Note: Triple H (being the champion) came out first. Ambroseâs Goldberg-esq entrance. The crowd was actually half and half on this, chanting âLetâs Go Ambrose! Triple H!â... and then they start chanting âCM Punk.â A crowd member said âFuck your motherâ when they were outside of the ring just prior to the Figure Four from Ambrose.
