The cabin looks so warm and inviting after a long day in the snow. The closer we get the more I just want to sleep. Kratos opens the door, moving to the side to let me in first. "Thank you." I say in almost a whisper. A head nod in return. Kratos walks closely behind me, letting the door shut as he enters. A small grunt of approval.
I feel the stresses of today fall off from my shoulders. Finally, we can rest. I begin to unhook the strap of my quiver and bow. Small clinks and clicks of the leather and metal as they meet the wooden table underneath them. My body feels lighter without the armor, bow and arrows. I roll my shoulders, easing into the end of the day.
Kratos places his blades and axe on a nearby pillar not far from where I stand. We glance at one another. The candle light dancing on his face and chest make me weak. How could the God of War, ever fall for a mere mortal, for me? He's perfect in everyway imaginable. If only he saw himself the way I do. Only then would he-
"You are staring." My thoughts were cut abruptly. I blink rapidly to bring myself back to reality. "I'm sorry." I brush some hair behind my ear, attempting to hide my flushed face. "I'm just tired." Another grunt. This time of acknowledgement. "Yes." Kratos agrees, softly spoken.
With slow footsteps, Kratos closes the distance between us. The floors creak below him with every step. After a few, the God of War stands before me. His hulking figure towering over me. So close infact that I can smell his scent. The smell of pine, leather and a light hint of smoke fill my nose. I breath in deeply to enjoy the scent I've come to love. The scent of the man I have chosen to love.
He gently places a finger under my chin and tilts my head up to have our eyes meet. My hand instinctively rests on his wrist, gently holding. Kratos' face is so close, our noses barley touching. My heart begins to pump faster as my knees begin to feel weak. I fight the urge to kiss him sweetly from where we stand. His honey golden eyes shimmer with the candle light. He's a beautiful man. I watch as his eyes dart across my face, studying my expressions.
"Are you certain you are just tired?" Kratos asks. Continuing to look over my face. I manage to nod while in his hold. His eyes narrow. "Hold still." He orders. His thumb glides across my jawline. Once, twice, three times. All soft and meaningful. His fingers on my skin made my spine tingle with anticipation and my jaw tighten. "Was there .. something on my face?" Curiosity got the best of me. What a stupid question. Of course there was something on my face. We just left from a cave. Surely there was a little dirt or grime.
"No." His voice cut through my thoughts. His eyes locked into mine once more. "I am.." His voice trails off as he continues to look deep into my hazel eyes. "I am thinking of you." The tension was tight. I needed this man now more than ever. The air around us was still. The sounds of us breathing and candle embers fill the small space we share. His takes his hand from under my chin and gently places it on my lower back. Instinctively pulling my closer to his body. "Kratos." I say in a hushed almost whisper tone. His other hand now rests on a side of my face. His thumb brushing against my cheek. Eyes still locked, never wavering.
He begins to close the distance between us. I tilt my head in acceptance of his invitation. Our lips meet. A soft passionate kiss that begins to quicken with pace. I gently place a hand on a side of his face. My fingers intermingled with his beard. Kratos pulls me in a little closer. The kiss heating up a little more. The sounds of our kissing fills the room. Gently, Kratos walks me backwards, guiding me to the fur covered wooden bed. Gently laying me down on the soft furs. His hands now exploring with intent. Kratos, still kissing, moved his hands to the bottom of my shirt. Before he can lift-
"BROTHA!" a familiar voice cried out. Kratos breaks the kiss, his eyes flash open as I lay upon the bed underneath him. He continues to hovers over me. "For the love of the nine realms, could ya PLEASE not let me witness this." Kratos stands to his feet, reaches from behind and unhooks Mimir, bringing him to eye level. "Mimir." I quickly adjust my shirt and sit up.
"Brother I am happy for ya both, honest. But can ya please spare me the intimacy?" I quietly chuckled about the situation. Poor Mimir. "I am sorry Mimir." Kratos apologizes first, me following suite. "I'm sorry Mimir. Would you want us to bring you back to Sindri's house?" Mimir let's out a sigh. "Aye. I understand it was a spur of the moment. But next time, plan it. Eh?"
