~Normalcy Is A Delicacy~ (( closed RP with plaingeekgirl ))
Jiffany was walking toward the ice cream shop as she managed to collect enough money to get herself a treat from all the babysitting she had been doing in order to get some pocket money as her parents tend to forgot to pay her the pocket money or they didn’t have enough to spare which of course she didn’t minded at all… After all, food and clothing was important than buying games or getting treats.
She wandered into the shop as she was debating on what flavour of ice-cream she should get… There was the sweet, bubble-gum pink coloured, strawberry flavour ice, the chocolaty sweet green mint and chocolate or the creamy sunny white vanilla ice-cream.
There were so many flavours to pick from that she wished she could try them all but at last, she had a feeling she would never achieve that dream. Jiffany walked up the counter as she got the money out from her armbands… It was the only place where she could carry her money without it from falling out.
“Excuse me, miss?”
"Hm…? Oh! Um, hi, hello!" Almost completely drawn into her worried thoughts, the sound of the teenager’s voice broke through like a battering ram. She hadn’t even heard the bell ring when the girl had come in—that’s how sidetracked she was.
"Ye—uh, how can I help you?" She glanced around, trying to see if the girl had already picked up something to buy. It didn’t look that way, but she did have money out, so it was always good to check.
Awkwardly, she pushed a smile onto her face. It didn’t reach her eye, she could feel, but it was better than nothing. Customers didn’t want to see angry scowls, or worried sneers when they walked in. That just said ‘bad business’.
From the looks of her outfit, she didn’t seem like she would have been interested in the New Age items she had to offer, scattered all around the shop in piles and multiple arrays. Maybe she was here for some of the left-over ice-cream? Miranda usually kept it in stock, in colored coolers near the far edge of the shop, in case a kid wandered in. They were usually filled with what she hadn’t sold over the weekend, or taken home with her. It was a good thing too, because she had a slight inkling that that’s what this girl was after.
“Oh Hello…Um…” Jiffany spoke as she took a quick pause to think about which flavour of ice cream she couldbefore speaking up again to reply the woman’s question.
“Do you have any strawberry flavour ice cream left?” As she place the money on the counter as she while trying to be polite as possible. Jiffany wondered what the woman thought of her as it was the girl’s first time coming to the shop due to that she either used her money to buy novel books or any cheap games that nobody wanted. as well that her parents were forgetful.
