🪴Hey buds🪴 Propagation can sound intimidating for a lot of new plant parents so let's start with the basics... First off what is propagation? It is very basically the act of taking seeds, cutting, or root clippings from a plant and creating an entirely new plant. The most common form of propagation is using stem cuttings where you take a clipping roughly 5-6 inches long with at least one node, (the slight knot in the plant, where new leaves and roots have the potential to grow from) and then leave it to grow in water. https://www.instagram.com/p/CpJIF4vunzU/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Part 3 will cover the meaning of different leaves on your plant 🌱. 💛~ yellow leaves that suddenly fall is often from overwatering. However, if the leaves are still firm but yellow this could be from excess chlorine in tap water. 🤎~ leaves that have brown, crispy tips are typically under watered, same with lower leaves that are crisp and then fall off. 💚~ green leaves that are droopy or curl up are typically overwatered. 🪴Hey buds🪴 Welcome back to Plant Care 101, where we provide helpful tips to keep your plants healthy. ~🌱🌧️🌷~ In part 2 we have some tips for watering: First off make sure you know your plant... tropical plants can handle more water while succulents can thrive when they have very little water. It's also important to note that having a watering schedule may be good because it helps remind you to water, but it can lead to many problems. Overwatering, under watering, root rot, and all sorts of other plant ailments can afflict your plants if they only get water on a set schedule and not when they need it. A great way to prevent this from happening is bottom watering. This method of watering allows the plants roots to easily take up the water it needs so it won't be over or under watered. All you need to do is simply place your plant in a bowl filled with water and let it sit for a couple minutes.
