Projects were in order. Gathering together slightly scattered paper across his desk and organizing them, Ghetsis began to take down the hallway after so stepping on the warp panel that led out of the room. He hardly noticed the ice beast that was Kyurem as he headed off toward the laboratories. He’d decided a couple of days ago who it was to go to.
Kodai. A man who was quite interesting entwined in Team Plasma. He was a returning member from the original Team Plasma, and seemed to have quite the… feud with Colress. Ghetsis tried to pay not much heed to that. He had his reasons for choosing Colress over Kodai to be the head scientist and his direct executive, reasons that they didn’t need to know to be able to shut up about it.
But it wasn’t too uncommon to hear the two go at each other with their rivalry, especially when Ghetsis gave out specific tasks. Naturally, yes, Ghetsis would gravitate to assign things to Colress. However, the man was oh so busy with his damn insistence to travel around Unova for his personal research. No matter. He balanced both that and work, and, of course, Ghetsis could assign things to the other scientists of Team Plasma.
And today, he happened to pick Kodai. So with not even a knock to warn the employee of Ghetsis’ presence, he opened the door, gruffly saying the man’s name. He watched as the man looked back, momentary surprise in his eyes, before he waved a hand and shut down a hologram of the Pokemon now in their possession— Kyurem. He didn’t understand why Kodai didn’t just look at the real thing, but it wasn’t his business.
“I have a new assignment for you," Ghetsis announced, red eyes barely moving from Kodai.
Kodai swiftly moved to his desk while listening to Ghetsis talk. He grabbed several papers and placed them in a stack. They were mostly notes from his studies. He took a moment before asking "And what is this assignment you have for me?"
He pulled out a drawer of his desk searching for something. Whoops, that is the one he keeps his knife in. Kodai quickly closed the drawer and locked it. No need for Ghetsis to see that. He opened another drawer. His eyes moved to the device he was searching for, the Illusion Canceller. He grabbed it and slide it onto his arm.
