Why I’m not bothered by the Chibi style for the new Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl

In the original games you pick your character and your name as a full character sprite but then get “Shrunk” into the world of pokemon.

The way I figure it’s exactly like that but instead of being a more pixelated 3d chibi it’s a full polygon/rendered chibi. Which of course seems out of place coming from all the newer games where you have a full body sprite/character to move around. It’s just been a long time since the games went back to this chibi overworld sprite so I figure that’s what’s throwing people off. 

TLDR: You probably don’t like the chibis because they aren’t like the pixelated versions from the original.
