Hair and Energy

If you ever have the urge to cut your hair, cut it. Our hair is an extension of our energy. It flows from our crown chakra. When you have the urge to chop it, take it as a message that your higher self needs to release some old energy that is no longer serving you. Moon Signs

My roommate and I have both been struggling with out moon placements. I am a gemini moon and she is an aries moon. I used to curse my moon sign daily, but I quickly found that only made me curse the way I processed my emotions. When I was a child, my father always told me I was too emotional which caused me to suppress how I felt. Throw on an ego death and my deep hatred for my moon sign and you can easily see how I was a deep void of emotional suppression for a good while. Your moon sign represents how you process your emotions and your inner self, who you are deep down. Some even say your moon sign comes out when you’re drunk. My friend Molly is a sagittarius moon and that bitch is fun when she's drunk. Anyways, I realized at age 18 that I needed to be able to process my emotions, not just ignore them. As my fellow gemini moons know, this is not easy. Gemini is the sign on intellect, so we tend to feel our emotions in our heads and intellectualize them until we understand them on a mind level, and we can move on. This however is ultimately unproductive because to heal you need to feel, release then heal. So that is what I challenge you to do. Understand your moon sign, learn how you feel your emotions and feel them. Then release them. Then finally, heal yourself babe.

Partying and Spirituality

I think there is a lot of toxicity in the spiritual community, especially around partying. Many Spiritual people will tell you that drinking and drugs lower your vibration, but that is bullshit. I refuse to belief it. That’s the cool things bout spirituality, its a belief that is created by the method of subtraction. You create your own beliefs. In my view, we are humans for a reason, to be human. Part of being human is using your avatar (your body) to get the full human experience. I’m not condoning the use of heroin, but if you were to do meth on accident because you thought it was moly, who gives a fuck? It’s a human experience. Basically, you can be spiritual and still party. Think of all the people you meet, you can still get to know someone at a party. There is no space in the spiritual community to hate on each other and quite frankly I’m tired of seeing college students who like to have a good time get shit on my people in the spiritual community who think that life should be about finding enlightenment. You have your entire life and many after this one to get there. It’s okay to have fun while you have the chance.

Why being a teenage girl is hell

As a woman it seems you can never be good enough. Too skinny, not skinny enough. Been with too many people or a prude. Likes mainstream things or tries too hard to be different. Everything that girls love is ridiculed. Our movies are hated, our fashion is bashed on. I am here to say fuck that! I will listen to Taylor Swift and paint my nails. I will watch Twilight and cry because I live in Washington and no vampire has fallen in love with me even though I am basically Bella Swan. I love dancing on elevated surfaces and nobody will stop me. I have one year left of being a teenager and I will finally embrace all that it means to be a teenage girl.

Reverting back to middle school

Has anyone else found themselves reverting back to their middle school selves while in college? I’m literally on fucking Tumblr again and my friend Molly is scared to flirt with boys. Anyways. I was talking to Molly about this and we were discussing how you are your true self as a child, and once you get into middle school you begin to reject who your are to fit in with others. As an adult, you want to regain who you are and start to revert back to who your were as a child. This is why inner child healing is so important! Anyways, I was thinking maybe its a cycle that goes around. Like the hermetic principle of rhythm, everything compensates through rhythm. To expand on that idea, while you are growing into an adult, maybe you are rhythmically going back to your true child form, and passing through the beginning of losing yourself as you are beginning to find yourself.

If you want to work on your inner child, try writing your child self a letter about how much you love them. Include all the small details about their personality that you love.

Hookup culture

As a college student who is fully immersed in hookup culture, I have a lot to say. I am a 19 year old girl, who is relatively attractive and the pressure to engage in hookups is very strong. Something that I find interesting as a bisexual woman, is that mainly men approach me with sexual offers at parties. After a man and woman have sex, the hormones that are released when na woman is falling in love are released. This makes sex completely different for men and women. This leads me to my next point, from a spiritual perspective sex is an energy transfer. Have you ever felt drained the day after hooking up with someone you don't really know? This is because their emotional baggage has been transferred to you. I am not at all advising you to not have sex, but more to think about who you are having sex with. Hookup culture provides people with momentary validation but it can leave you feeling empty. Thoughts?

Flirting is so fun, you can flirt with anyone! you can do it in the parlor, you can do it in the sink. You can do it in the bedroom, not even a need to think! Just flirt your heart away and give them a wink! Flirt with your friends. Flirt with your foes. Trust me, you’ll get all the hoes. As a Libra rising with heavy Gemini placements I flirt with everyone. Sometimes it gets me into trouble, but I’m a human. A hot teenage one. As a hot person, there is nothing wrong with using your looks to your advantage. I flirt to make friends, I flirt to make out, I flirt to get whatever I want. Using your attractiveness to get what you want may seem shallow, and maybe it is, but we won't be young and beautiful for forever. So my advice? Use it while you can. Just flirt, bat your lashes and stare into their eyes, everyone is hot. Sexiness is a state of mind.
