It was a good question and one he didn’t really want to give an answer to because it would be a lie, “ I will be,” he nodded, it wasn’t a lie at least. Achilles didn’t lie to his people, which might be the reason he tried not confided in them too much. Morpheus and Hades he felt would at least be able to keep his confidence. “ You don’t have to worry Morpheus, I will be fine and thank you for keeping this between us because I need a favor from you and it is a big one and I don’t know if anyone else in the guild would be willing.” he sighed, he was so tired but there was too much to do before the boss fight and he felt time getting away from them all each hour of each day. “Azrael, I need you to help me keep an eye on her during the battle that’s coming. I was with her during the boat but this is looking like it could be a battle royal kind of thing and if it is… she needs to be watched for her own safety.”

“You worried about her former guildmates trying to tag her during the battle? Make it look like an accident?”Morpheus asked, and even then he wasn’t entirely sure that was the reason. Didn’t stop him from nodding furiously in agreement. “I’ll do my best to keep an eye on her. But you know if shit gets too crazy there’s a chance I’ll lose her in the mess.”

nike never had been very good at hiding her emotions, had she? headquarters had so many rooms, so many places to sulk, and she still chose a hallway. it was like she wanted to be found, and maybe she did. maybe the attention from others was all that was pulling her through with her current heartbreak weighing heavy. she would be fine, eventually. she was moving past it, but sometimes she got stuck and needed guidance. she needed her parents, and in velia, she had the closest thing to them. looking up at morpheus, she offered her best attempt at a shrug, trying to wave everything off, but anyone who knew her could see right through it. “i don’t want to start any more drama between all of us,” she huffed, looking at the other player with absolutely pleading eyes. “i’ll be okay, i swear.” she didn’t like how easily she was starting to divide her guild, to make even more of a mess of things.

“Look, if it was one of us. Then something’s wrong, and lost in translation. We protect each other, we don’t hurt each other, and clearly someone hurt you.” Morpheus said, plopping down beside her. “Whoever hurt you, that shit isn’t okay.” But it was then that he decided to drop it. “Wanna at least tell me what happened? I’ll give you the best advice I can, even if you don’t want me to break them in half like a twig.” He made his best attempt at a laugh, but it almost sounded off. Too angry.

She couldn’t sleep. Most people were already in the comforts of their own homes and sleeping off the night. Not Azrael. She’s currently homeless after leaving her old cottage – too many circus members who have the right to be mad at her, know of the location and it wasn’t too safe. This is coming from someone who still thinks her life isn’t worth saving but she figured, she’d rather die on her own terms than die at the hands of the very people she had trained.

So here she was in the kitchens of the Catalyst Headquarters, baking of all the things to do. It always seemed to calm her nerves and maybe help her get tired and fall asleep. What she didn’t expected was someone being in the headquarters with her.

“Morpheus.” She smiled just as she put a tray in the oven. “I didn’t expect anyone to be here at this hour.”

“Someone of us still use the barracks on occasion.” Morpheus said, looking over the assortment of goodies laid out across the kitchen. “And some of us spend too much time in the training room.” He was talking about himself. “And others--- like to spend their time in the kitchen making all of the sweets.” And there he was talking about her. “I just got done training. Figured it was a good place to come after wearing myself out. Needed something to eat, seems like you’ve got that pretty much covered. So--- how are you settling in?”

Achilles stood on the shore bank, looking out at the now barren lake. He stood there arms crossed as he listens to the approaching footsteps that came from behind him, as Morpheus came to stand next to him. “ I was worried that you didn’t get my message. Sorry to call you so late.”  He chuckled looking over at the other man now, but he was the one person that he could think to contact and it not be turned to for some kind of help. With the battle coming up sooner rather than later, Achilles knew he couldn’t go into it like he did with the last one. With the guardian, he had been exhausted and the fight took more out of him then he thought. Getting sleep was becoming harder and harder. Luna had been right, he wouldn’t be any use to anyone if he couldn’t keep his eyes open. They were catalyst after all… they had to look out for each other. Hence him calling Morpheus to meet him tonight. “Thanks for meeting me.”

What’d you need?” As it was, Morpheus could tell that something was out of place. Achilles looked drained, tired and almost far too exhausted. But he’d wait, just to hear what he needed.
