This is Tony Kapel and Maitejosune. They are a couple who play in the band Pocket full of Lollipops and host events from their home, Château de Lollipop. Pocket of Lollipops on 6/24/23 at My Mama’s Books in Dania Beach, FL!
This was my 2nd time at My Mama’s Books in one week (after seeing Mr Entertainment and the Pookiesmackers a few nights before this). Real cool, laid-back place to see a band run by excellent people.
Pocket of Lollipops are the husband/wife duo of Maite on vocals/guitar and Tony on drums/vocals. They have a real unique sound that’s hard to pin down but easy to like. A few of the cuts they played in their 30-ish minute set include “I’m Bliss” (from their latest EP, Hot Soup Four Carrots) as well as “Rainbow Swords,” “Lady 180,” “Rubber Stamper” and a few more. Maite’s guitar sounds are all over the place in the best way possible and Tony’s drums sounds like he swingin’ with 4 arms.
