SN>TS4 headwear conversion
Grian Bandeau
(Grian means 'sun', I shorten from 'sunflower' grian-neòinean 'sun daisy')
Source Mesh : SN//S0331AHC
[numerical suit index here] [suit reference here]
Stupid high poly :
30-40k poly at LOD0 - these flowers are 3D and it's..... definitely reflective of that. LP has less polygons but is still stupidly high. Since all the components of this headwear are already quite fine, there wasn't much room for reducing the polygons without decreasing the visual quality of the mesh. Anything else that would have led to a more manageable count would just require me remaking it, which defeats the point of converting something, lol.
[DL and more detail under cut!!!!]
DL :
Version with static head weights : <3
Version with dynamic head weights : <3
Found in 'hat' category!
Each version is independent of the others. there are 3 shapes of bandeau for different hairstyles, then each comes in LP or HP, and there's versions of each with neck weights and without neck weights (head weights only). These are included because with neck weights, the bow tassels move accordingly with less clipping with shoulder and neck, but the bow tassels may look unnatural at certain positions when the sim moves. This version is better for gameplay.
On the other hand, the version with just head weights will look nicer in screenshots, as the shape of the bow tassels will not change according to the position of the neck (though, maybe there's some clipping in certain positions, it generally works better with custom static poses)
12 swatches
The swatches of these only change the colour of the bandeau/woven part.
Rest is white unless you use the recolours!

TOU and Stuff :
I am a hobbyist. You get what you see. It's always free.
Posies converts solely for fun and to bring items into the sims 4 which Posies enjoys and believes can be used for players to greater express themselves. The meshes Posies has used have already been on the internet for some time. Posies isn't converting the meshes entirely faithfully, but trying to be creative and transformative with how Posies uses the textures and meshes Posies converts. Non commercial share-alike only, This post is not monetise, you should not monetise or otherwise profit from the use of this mesh, these files, these textures. You should not monetise or otherwise profit from derivatives of this mesh, these files, these textures. Bundling this file into paid sim-dumps, republishing links to this file on sites which receive ad revenue, bundling this file and republishing this for any commercial use is prohibited. If crediting via wcif please remember these are conversions and so while much was done by Posies, this is also a derivative work and the effort that the original artists put into their work should not be devalued. Posies does not support selling conversions from other games into the sims 4 (nor any other game for that matter.). Don't be a rotten gourd.
TOU* :

DOU (do! tou)
Edits and recolours are welcome. You may include the mesh.
Conversions to other sim games is fine.
Conversions to games that don't have rewards for creating / uploading cc is fine. You might find it better to just convert straight from the source games rather than using my versions, though.
Reuploading is fine for archival purposes (If my Patreon and SFS are gone, and my Tumblr has not provided other links)
Use in deco sims or build objects is fine (that'd be really cool!!!) (so long as it is free!!!)
Make corrections or compatibility updates if Posies is unable to do it, inactive or too busy.
︶⊹︶︶୨୧︶︶⊹︶
NOU (no! tou)

I would prefer not to be featured in cc hauls on TikTok or YouTube, and for my conversions to be excluded from such publicity. Thank you ^-^]
No re-uploading this cc to cc packs.
No re-conversions to games that have external or internal rewards systems for creating cc.

Converted this because it is useful for both mid 19th century headwear in general (flower crowns where the forehead is bare and flowers only appear on the side/back of head were popular then) , and also specifically the folk-wear/national costume of Ukraine from 19th century in general.
[1st row, general european headdress of mid 19th century, esp wedding headdresses worn in this style]
[2nd row, Ukrainian flower crowns in specific]
At least, that's what I think the original set is based on, due to inclusion of national flower of Ukraine (Sunflower), though as SN sets are typically a bit vague when it comes to European culture (to , it might be a blend of several European pastoral wears, maybe with Polish influence, since Poland is known for geese-farming, though the headwear there less resembles, so I say tentatively. I know no country with national bird as Goose, or otherwise symbolised by goose, so I am unsure!
As I did not design the SN set, I cannot say for certain all the influences or what national costume is exactly intended, but I hope you can enjoy regardless, and that I’ve included enough colours/swatches to adequately use in both manners.
