- Nota sobre a Dor
“Hoje foi um daqueles dias em que eu só queria ficar dentro de um casulo, longe do contato do mundo e esperando o tempo passar. Mas eu não queria estar tão sozinha como estou agora, como sempre estou. Eu me acostumei com a ideia de estar só, mas são nos dias difíceis que eu mais preciso de companhia; e também é quando não tenho alguém comigo. Sofrer já é doloroso demais, mas sofrer sozinha é avassalador. A dor multiplica como célula fazendo mitose e sufoca, faz o ar pesar no peito na tentativa frustrada de segurar o choro. Quase sempre é assim, principalmente quando se acumula mágoas, tristezas e arrependimentos. Tem mais, sempre tem.... mas essa é apenas uma nota sobre a dor.”

After almost 15 years I re-read my favourite childhood books A Series of Unfortunate Events and I think they’re even more enjoyable now if possible. The Tolstoy references were totally lost on an eight year old me. So here’s a wee illustration just because they’re great and libraries are great too.
