OUR STORY

Our story starts when we were like six

Eating chocolates,

Swirling the juice in the glass, letting it mix

Running in your yard

Sometimes in mine

We could never stay apart

Always each other's partner in crime

Laughing in the park

Fighting in the gym

Your eyes have this electric spark

We'd hug each other on just a whim

Falling for you

As we grew older

Was a feeling like no other

And right that day when you kissed my shoulder

Things between us changed forever

You fill my world every day

And the smile you bring to my lips

Without you, I can't even find my way

And when you smile, the universe stills

And that night

When you went on one knee

The stars overhead shone so bright

And you said, 'Will you marry me?'

Our families celebrated all week

It was a dream come true

And we strolled beside the creek

Like we always did

Under a sky that was so blue

You said you would be back soon

And kissed me on the cheek

I sat every night looking at the moon

Praying you'd be back real quick

I heard the phone ringing

Mom went to get it

Never did I imagine

That it is the last time I would be happy

You were robbed, the police said

And stabbed multiple times

By the time someone got you, you were dead

And it was gone, the shine in your eyes

I don't remember your funeral

Nor did I comfort your parents

Cause every sound other than your voice was guttural

And several comments were passed at my appearance

It's been several years now

And looking back I smile

Now I'm miles away from our town

And our photos lie in my room in a pile

I still where the diamond ring

I would never take it off

Reminds me of you

DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE

It was a moonlit night at twelve a.m.

I was climbing up the pipe as smooth as stealth

I had knives and daggers in my belt

Cause in the fifth floor above a fool had to be dealt

I pulled at the window, cursing him to hell

Cause it was as dark as a manhole and I couldn't see well

Suddenly I heard the latch being felt

And within a minute, slow as ever, the window was opened

Out came a hand beckoning me in

I climbed in slowly minding the sill

We tiptoed through, my heart dancing in beats

Cause it's the first time we

Were doing something like this

The object of our deed

Was watching T.V. in peace

And both of us approached him

As sweet as discreet 😈

My vengeful companion

Tapped him on the shoulder

And before Mr. BC could turn around

I passed her the knife from the holder

Don't ask me what happened next

The whole situation slightly complex

The only things worth the context

Was the pool of blood and her demonic laughter

If we got a dime

Everytime the two of us committed a crime

We'd have bought a private yatch

And be floating on the Rhine

You'd see us buying supplies

From the store, like any other time

We'd smile at you and wave at you

THE DEBUTANTE AND THE THE LIFEGUARD

My mom was the beauty debutante

My dad a lowly lifeguard

He got a job in the country club

Where she used to strut

That's when they met

The meet-cute was great

And that's when they knew

That the other one was their fate

Boys lined up behind her

Falling head-over-heels

But it was for one person only

My mom had got the feels

She would look at him through her lashes

He would watch her take a dip

She would intentionally make splashes

Hoping he would notice

She would try to match her swimsuit

With the trunks he would wear

He would try to find a spot to sit

Anywhere near her

She made up her mind to talk to him

She approached him steady and slow

He knew that she was made for him

He knew it from his core

It was great, the scandal
