WHERE SHOULD YOU BE KISSED?
FOREHEAD over-worrying and overthinking everything, your mind is always a whirling storm. no matter how you try, the fears overwhelm all else. you need someone trusted to press a kiss to your forehead, helping to quiet the thoughts that just refuse to settle.

Allison could not bring herself to drink the tea that had been offered to her (and she had hesitantly accepted). Her head was still swimming from her unexpected departure from the town and time she called home. “A time anomaly? No…I—I was walking along the shore…” Her eyes dodged the woman in front of her. “The next thing I knew…” Her eyes shut tightly for a moment, her frown deepening as her chin threatened to tremble. “I found myself here…I looked back, and my previous surroundings were gone.”
“Suppose I ought to have been a bit more engrossed in a map than my story.” She smiled weakly as she watched the other girl finish up with the injury.
“It’s certainly a memorable introduction, at least.” Ophelia admitted with a small laugh. “I do hope we don’t keep meeting like this though. I know I’m clumsy, but I hope to become acquainted enough with the town soon enough. That should help prevent any further injuries.”
It was a quiet enough place, or it certainly seemed that way upon moving here. She could do with something a bit more slower in pace right about now. “Have you lived here all your life?”
Allison offered her hand to help Ophelia up from the sidewalk. “You could say that. I was born in New York, but my mother and I moved back here when I was still a baby. This town is all I’ve known.” A small town was a good place to grow up, though it left her eager to see the world…and get away from the judgement of her fellow townspeople.
Her gaze was briefly cast downwards before looking at Ophelia again.
“Your accent — I assume you aren’t from around here.” She kept her voice soft and nonjudgmental. If anything, she was curious. “What brings you to Peyton Place?”

“Just a bit.” Ophelia tried not to hiss as she let Allison look over her latest injury. “It was my own fault, really. Taking that stumble like that. Really ought to pay more attention to where I’m going and not keep my head in a book.”
She looked down at her scraped knee, sighing softly. “You didn’t have to do all this, you know. I could have managed myself and gotten some new stockings to hide my flaws. But thank you, for taking the time to help.”
@poeticrevelations said “hold still. this might sting a little.”
Allison cringed as she applied the antiseptic to Ophelia’s scraped knee. She had many run-ins with the stuff — none of them particularly pleasant. “I, myself, am guilty of walking around with my head in a book. It is my familiarity with this town that prevents me from taking such a stumble…”
Covering the wound with a piece of cotton and medical tape, she offered the other girl a small, soft smile. “My mother had the supplies; I know how to use them. It would be a mistake to not put them to good use.”
She shook her head so slightly it was nearly unnoticeable. “Welcome to Peyton Place. I’m sorry that this is our introduction.”
Psychology Sentences, Vol. 9
(Sentences for interactions with therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists - or even just friends supporting each other. Adjust phrasing where needed)
"Being frightened is a normal, natural human function, just like breathing. It's how you react to fright that really counts."
"You feel used. Angry. Now we need to figure out whether if you're mad at me or yourself."
"You've spent so long wallowing in the past, wishing time would go backwards, but that is not how reality works."
"Isn't it all just a bit busy inside your head?"
"It can't be easy always having to prove that you belong."
"Most people's memories are unreliable. The things we see and that people say, they change over time. Your past is an illusion."
"Do you mind if I ask you a personal question? Are you happy?"
"You have to be careful fighting monsters or you might turn into one yourself."
"In such uncertain times, there is a great comfort to be found in the familiar."
"Just because something seems inevitable doesn't mean there isn't hope."
"Who are we if not the stories we tell ourselves?"
"In my experience, I find that when you set out to change the world, the world changes you instead."
"You solve everyone else's problems, but never your own."
"For me to help you, you're going to have to talk to me at some point."
"Do you ever wonder if all of this is just a dream?"
"You have an unquiet mind, and so you war with yourself like a dog trying to chew off its own tail."
"Only one person has a need to know what's the things inside my head, and that person is me."
"The truth doesn't care if you believe in it. It simply exists, whether we want it to or not."
"Does it hurt? The truth you keep hidden?"
"Human memory is sensory-based. Vision alone is not the strongest trigger. Sound and smell actually work better."
"I think if you could go back and go down a different path, you would."
"Human nature is interesting, don't you think? If you understand what makes someone tick, they become predictable."
"I think you're all about your work, and you don't know when to stop."
"Beware of ideas that are not your own."
"You said "you people". Is that because you don't think you're one of us?"
"Who teaches us to be normal when we're one of a kind?"
"Do you believe that I'm a good person? That a deserve just like everybody else?"
"What we are is as much where destiny takes us as it is what we do with the journey."
"You really don't have to save me from my own life, you know?"
"You can usually find a 'hidden' meaning in anything if you want it badly enough."
"You're not allowing yourself to feel things that you should be feeling."
"If you let that kind of poison sit on your mind, you'll die from it."

BIOGRAPHY
Allison MacKenzie was born in New York City, New York, in 1946 to her mother, Constance MacKenzie. A story was quickly fabricated to hide Allison's illegitimacy: Her mother was widowed by a man with the surname MacKenzie and left to raise their daughter on her own upon returning to Peyton Place.
The truth? She was fathered by a man named Elliot Carson (who was later convicted of the murder of his then-wife). As far as Allison is aware, however, she was born in wedlock. She and her mother are well-respected members of the small town they call home.
The events that change her life forever begin in the early 1960s...
rules
Hello, I am Bean. I am in my 20s; however, there will be no smut on this blog. And I live in the United States of America (CST/CDT).
I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about these rules or my portrayal.
Out-of-Character
This blog is private: I will only write with mutuals (those who I follow and follow me back). This is to limit the amount of people I write with in order to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
Personal blogs: I do not immediately block personal blogs; however, I will if you reblog threads, headcanon posts, or my OOC posts.
Communicate: Communication helps this community thrive. The best way to reach me is through IMs or Discord (available upon request). I am very easy-going, so feel free to reach out about anything.
No OOC hate will be permitted: Spreading hate out-of-character will get you blocked.
Memes: I am not a source for memes. Please reblog from the source whenever possible.
Do not reblog my headcanon or OOC posts: These are my thoughts and I do not want them spread around.
Threads/Storylines
No godmodding: My muse is my muse, and I control her.
No metagaming: Just because you know something about a story, your muse may not.
Duplicates: I am willing to write with them.
NSFW: No smut will be present on this blog. Dark themes may appear, though.
Do not pressure me for replies: If it has been a bit since I have replied, feel free to remind me; however, keep it to one reminder a day and twice in a week. Chances are, I do not currently have the muse and it is in my drafts.
Memes/sentence starters: While I may do better with plotted threads, feel free to send memes. Memes/sentence starters can be sent by anyone and at any time, as they can serve as icebreakers.
Starter calls: Starter calls are mutuals only and labeled as such in the tags.
Shipping
No force-shipping: Shipping has to be agreed upon by both parties involved.
Chemistry: I ship based on chemistry. With this said, I am open to more than just romantic ships, as I love platonic relationships just as much.
Original Characters
Biography: This has to be easy to find. Please, do not send the biography through IMs. I just need a link. A rules page is also important so I do not make you uncomfortable or accidentally over-step a boundary.
Shipping: Again, no force-shipping. We can plan a certain relationship for our muses, but chemistry will be what determines the outcome.
Relationships in general: I am all for plotting relationships. I do not, however, make any promises that they will happen. Familial relationships and friendships are your best bet.
Triggers
Tagging: I will tag any triggers you may have. Just let me know.
