lydia loved watching people walk through her bookstore, her heart warmed as she watched hands scroll the stacks looking for that text, and she felt the happiest when she could be apart of that path. today was no different for her, she had been watching someone struggle to find a certain book for the past twenty-ish mintues, she couldnโt let it go on for any longer. pulling herself away from the cozy little counter she quickly sped over to the person, eyes bright.ย โ iโve noticed youโve been having some trouble finding what youโre looking for- is there anything i can help you with today darlinโ?โ she smiled, leaning on the large bookcase.ย

WHY WAS THERE so many options for shakespeare? sonnets, scripts, fucking biographies... it was one thing if he had come to read for pleasure but it was an entirely different playing field when it came to studying his texts and history to write an article over it all. somehow connect it all to his opinion to how people were performing it nowadays. he felt like he was back in AP lang in highschool. axel was pretty damn sure that maybe 1% of the town was actually going to enjoy the article he was just assigned.
he had a frown on his face as he focused on the many titles in front of him, scratching the back of his neck as he finally got one out and read the summary at least five times and still not gathering a thing it said. maybe more than four hours of sleep wouldโve helped. but then he was interrupted from the mental turmoil as a woman's voice filled his ears, turning to look over at her instantly. he recognized her from friends of friends and racked his brain to remember her name. it was a fun game he played with himself - lily? no. lizzie? no... lydia!
โhi, lydia right?โ he questioned, giving a warm smile before realizing her probably sounded like a freak as he quickly stuck his hand out to her.ย โsorry, iโm axel. iโm not a stalker, swear on it. but, uh, just tryna find a good read to brush up on the theatre legend shakespeare.โ he explains, holding his book up in his hand as he laughed, sticking the book back in.ย โa bit on the struggle bus to be honest with ya.โ
