I just saw a post saying that someone I used to talk to is a pdfile. im gonna throw up
getting unfollowed by a girlblogger is genuinely devastating like what did I do to deserve this
poor little liddy used to always quit but she never really quit, she'd just say she did
just know that the things are getting worse when I start posting on tumblr regularly
I feel like my soul is rotting
I don't know whats going on with me
I never teenaged like other teenagers that's my why
I spent my teenage years feeling too old to actually be a teenager. like I had already outgrown something I never really got the chance to experience. and now I'm terrified I'll do the same thing with my twenties. I'm not even there yet, but somehow I already feel like I'm running out of time. like I'll wake up one day and realize that I spent another decade feeling too old to live the age I was.

some people are only meant to be a chapter, not the whole story and that’s okay
there is something quietly disturbing about the way social media has begun to conflate material gifts with emotional depth. when women display what their partners purchase for them as if those items are definitive proof of love, the performance extends far beyond personal pride it becomes cultural pedagogy. a generation is watching and learning that affection, worth, and devotion are quantified in price tags
(and somehow, despite all the extravagant proof of “love,” they all keep ending up cheated on)
I’m not opposed to gift-giving quite the contrary. it’s one of my love languages, and receiving something thoughtful does make me feel valued. but when acts of love are reduced solely to material gestures, the emotional core becomes hollow. what was once meant to symbolize intimacy starts to overshadow it entirely
the deeper irony lies in the fact that many men spend generously and indiscriminately on strangers, performers, even women they deceive or betray. the presence of gifts then is not evidence of love but often a distraction from the absence of it. no sincere affection would ever reduce someone to secrecy or frame betrayal as romance. a mistress can be adorned in diamonds but she is still kept in the dark
emotional commitment cannot be purchased and financial generosity is no substitute for integrity. at some point we must learn to distinguish between affection and performance between care and compensation
axolotls are so stupidly cute I wanna get one and cry every time I look at their dumb little face
Girl Crazy (1943)
my parents were so in love they had three weddings, in three different countries, just so everyone they cared about could witness it.
Then they got divorced. Met new people. Moved on.
sometimes I wonder if what we call “true love” is just a comforting narrative, a kind of cultural mythology we cling to to make sense of longing, coincidence, and timing. maybe it’s not something we find, but something we construct, just to give chaos a little meaning.
