For anyone who might need to hear it today: this is your reminder that your skill in pokemon battles has nothing to do with your worth as a person. You have intrinsic worth and value regardless of whether you're a Champion or someone who's never won a battle in their life or something in between, and I'm proud of you for coming this far.

My point stands, be careful about your medication being within easy access by your pokemon please!
Reminder to keep your medication away from your medication, regardless of how childproof it may seem. We had a scare today in the pharmacy as someone's pansage got into their medication (at least it seemed like they did). Thankfully the pokemon center isn't too far away from us and they were able to do run a full test and everything came up clear. It didn't consume anything, but it couldn't convey that information to it's owner.
Keep your medication locked up and secure, and only ask pokemon to retrieve them in an emergency- and even then check to make sure they retrieved the right medication.

curious question for the world: how many of y'all have trainer licenses? if your region even does that, idk if all of them do
i got mine and ive got like three badges and that's it but I've still got it.
notably you don't have to have a license to own a pokemon as like a family member / pet thing, but you do for battling here in kanto
Here in Unova, as far as I can tell a trainer's license is only if you're intending to battle competitively and for monetary stakes.
I believe it's also to make sure the local government gets their cut of the pie come tax season and so that pokemon centers and pharmacies like mine stay free and affordable.
You'll only get checked if you have a powerful looking pokemon from what I've seen though.

Some background on who I am and what stories I'll be sharing here:
I work at a pokemon pharmacy within spitting distance of Nimbasa city (that's in the Unova region), and I sell prescriptions for both people and pokemon.
I see quite a bit of misinformation when it come to the care of the average pokemon one, especially when it comes to consumables- I want to give the most accurate I can to help people avoid these mistakes.
Seeing as I work retail I have fun and sometimes depressing stories to tell about my job here, and I want to share those too.
If you have any questions about medicine for your pokemon I'll do what I can to answer the best I can but I will always suggest heading into your local pokemon center or pharmacy for advice.
