I have seen a bit of the battling, yes, and it's quite impressive, but your back must ache terribly from carrying nearly the entire field of pre-hisuian archeology! The reconstructive architecture plans of the temple of Sinnoh that you helped with were quite impressive and actually inspired several artists to use as references! I've got a print of that on my wall. I flip through your rebuttal to Reynolds et al's shitty paper whenever I need a pick me up.

Haven't quite gotten to all of that myself yet but it's extremely funny that Reynolds et al having an extraordinarily terrible paper is something of a constant. Was it the one claiming that the Celestican people were a hoax and therefore not the original people living in what would become Hisui, despite extensive archaeological and historical evidence to the contrary?
If not for the rebuttal, I would have loved to personally confront that man and have the world's most awkward cup of tea with him while asking if he believed someone such as myself to have spawned from thin air with false memories and no heritage at all.

Well. Someone was advertising their private research services on campus. Usually clients for that are the sort involving a cheating romantic partner, but I inquired about Reynolds.
One of his cowriters seemed entirely new to the academia scene. Changed her name because she entirely ruined her credibility. The other was Borisov of "Autonomy of stone: why we should let Cara Liss do what she wants with fossils" fame

I feel a little bad for the coauthor who didn't know better, but not at all for anyone who thinks Cara Liss is anything approaching trustworthy with fossils.
Look. I'll admit that what she did-- a method of revival that doesn't add the rock type to the pokemon in question-- was revolutionary. But that doesn't mean her mistakes are worth repeating. I am of the... somewhat controversial opinion that she could do good work, if given constant supervision and a proper ethics board. But I understand that many are too distrustful after what she's already done. That poor creature, you could see its innards...
Finding supervision willing to overlook her work would probably be easier said than done, honestly, given... well, like you said, what she's already done.

Heya! I have a quick question as a Garchomp trainer...
Chompy has been feeling really down lately, even though he's had walkies, training, TONS of cuddles and time under his favorite heat lamp. I've been feeding him the same mix of dragon to ground type food as I usually have. I'm just not all the way sure on it is all. Do you have any advice?

Hello! Honestly, my first guess would be the weather—is it snowy where you live? It's very snowy here in Sinnoh and while seasonal depression can hit us humans hard, it's always seemed to hit Aster harder. Which I did assume was only a her thing until I discovered, no, every Garchomp I know has similar issues during winter, so that's either a case of "three 5-poké coins" or "it's at least somewhat universal for Garchomp as a species."

We lost to Cynthia. She and her team are quite formidable. Still, I am very proud of all of my Pokémon for making it this far. I just have to remember to express that to them.
Now, I suppose I should try find somewhere to live. I am... not sure how one goes about doing that. I was born in Shinra, then lived with them my entire life. Getting a place for myself was never something I had to think about.

Making it to Cynthia alone is really nothing to sneeze at, the league challenge is an endurance challenge as well as that of strength and many people burn out against Flint (if you'll pardon the pun) or Lucian. Well done!
