From the Vaults

An old, never before released remix for a never before released track. The remix is done by the short-lived 2 Tall Men (Yoav B and Oosh, aka Yishai Adar) _____ The Brain The Funk was recorded in 1997. The Outro version, a dubbier yet funkier affair, followed soon.

The remix was made by Oosh - Yishay Adar of the Top Hat Carriers - and Yoav B, who runs today the Wabi Sabi reocrds imprint. Back then they were called Two Tall Men, and they anticipated Electroclash by a good 3 years.

The Brain The Funk was re-recorded in 2001, and was intended for release as part of the album Cresh (2002, NMC). Due to Sample clearance issues, it was removed from the album at the 11th hour.

Polar Pair - Star (Orlogin Remix)

If you haven't checked out the video for Star by Polar Pair, do that first. 

If you're still reading without checking it out because you're a lazy fucker then imagine a cross between Stand by Me and The Blair Witch Project, with extra twitching, all shoved into four minutes.  This is all soundtracked by a breezy pop number with a bouncy bassline and sweetly sung vocals. 

Which is why I think this remix by Orlogin (cheers to @schumacher1 for bringing his particular brand of post-post-dubstep to my attention) would suit the video better.  Darker and sexier.
