Sorry I've been gone for a bit, been quite busy. Have a little rant.
I feel like I've seen/heard a lot of people say that Shakespeare wrote tragedies not love stories, and while I understand what they're trying to say I just find it to be completely untrue. Like yes Romeo and Juliet was partially a satire, but so are most romantic comedies, and people still regard them as romance movies. Shakespeare was, in my opinion quite good at writing romance, romantic storylines, and romantic texts as shown by how he wrote about his wife. I find a lot of people also take this notion of Shakespeare writing "tragedies not love stories" and "Romeo and Juliet was satire" (even though only the first part was meant to be) and turn it into a sort of anti-romance narrative around Shakespeare, as if he hated these ideas and stories, witch just isn't true from what I've read and how I've interpreted his writing. I think he often used storylines of love and romance to further the tragedy of his stories. We all love in one way or another. Most of us yearn for it. I think he knew that and used it to make the endings of so many of his stories more tragic. Not because he had a disdain for romance or love in literature, but because he knew the joys of it himself, and like any good writer he used that to further the narrative of his texts.
Either way, I suppose we'll never really know exactly why he chose to write certain things and how he meant them. This is obviously just my speculation and opinion. I just find it a tad frustrating how quickly I feel people interpret him and his texts as "anti-romance", but that's just me.

I wish I woke up tomorrow in a world where I don't have to see a single AI generated image ever again
and where there isn't any 18+ AI chat bot ads. Especially on apps targeted towards children!
like your telling me we invented AI and we've decided to destroy the environment for this? WHYYYY!? how can we be so smart and so dumb at the same time?!?!?!
It is so hellish to not be able to find words when they're all you have to offer.
i would die for this thing
he's called Rise (like earth rise, the best fucking space picture ever) and he's the ZGI (zero gravity indicator) for this launch
which basically means they have a plushie free floating in the shuttle and when it starts floating around they know they're in zero gravity :3
WHEEEE!!!!!! YIPPEEEE!!!!!!! SPAAAAAAACE!!!!!!!!!

I love him
I have so much fear right now I feel as though I cannot do anything else but be afraid...like a dear in headlights, but this fear isn't instinctual.
No, this...this is learned, practiced, like I've rehearsed it over and over again, delicately, to perfection.
I am a ballerina preforming a program I've practiced since childhood, delicately mastering the control of my muscles, as not to take a single step out of place.
My trembles have all been felt before, the pain in my chest is nothing new, and the pit in my stomach, that horrificly familiar nausea? A visitor so frequent, it is almost welcomed by my body as a natural state of being.
There is...one difference in this specific instance of fear, though...that might be the my horrifying part of all.
This time...the news articles are real.
The violence is real.
The threats are real.
The possibility of a real, true war is real
This time someone I know, someone I love could be deployed...someone who might not even love me back, and...if he is deployed I may never know.
I can't expect him to give me an answer right now, let alone if that were to happen! He has so many people to worry about right now and I feel I am likely, justly low on that list.
I'm in pain all the time and I now know that will never go away, no matter what.
I have sabotaged one of the best relationships of my life because I didn't expect my actions to have consequences.
He is hurting, because of so many things right now, and because of my inability to cope, properly express emotions, and fear of rejection , I have become one of them.
Every day things on the news get worse, scarier, more grotesque in ways I didn't even think were possible.
I watch these events unfold and I cry, I tell people about them, I voice my fear, often times I am met with phrases such as "That's not real.", "That would never actually go through.", and "They would never actually get away with that!" All of them are followed with a sentiment of "stop worrying" or that there's nothing I can do.
This dose nothing to stop my worrying, and when these things do end up happening, no one even acknowledges that I was brushed off, and treated as though my comments were meaningless.
Sometimes...I do find my self pondering if they're right.
What if all of my worrying is pointless, and there's nothing any of us can do?
I think that notion is even more terrifying than all previous ones, because if that's the case now...there's no point in anything.
No point in trying to fix things, or better oneself...no point in...life itself, really.
Maybe...that is the truth.
Plain and simple.
We're doomed.
Right now, I'm unsure if any of this matters either way.
Even if that is the case then I still had every right to worry, even if it's not, I still do.
Right now I am in my room on my bed, in pain, writing on the internet for a few folks to see...hoping someone might appreciate it or get something out of it.
But right now,
above all else,
I am just so full...
of fear.
Got diagnosed with Hypermobile ehlers-danlos syndrome a couple days ago
It's been so weird and honestly surreal. It was totally unexpected, especially given it was at my first rhumatolgy appointment, I was a little skeptical but it makes a lot of sense and explains things I wasn't expecting an explanation for. On top of all of this I'm also actively going through a flare up. It's definitely bittersweet because I needed answers and help and I got that, but a chronic illness is never something anyone wants to have. I've also been dealing with a lot of imposter syndrome about the diagnosis, but that's been something I've dealt with following almost every diagnosis I've had. I do have hEDS, and I'm very glad and very blessed to have been diagnosed so quickly and I thank the gods (especially Lady Aphrodite and Lord Diyonisus)for that. I hope to be able to live a slightly easier life with treatment and to be a little gentler with myself on my journey as well.
This is how i imagine every human who met Aphrodite in the mythos looked when they first saw her:
I love this and also samees
Me ASFFF!! <3
