so im starting to love the idea of a green clothes blonde hair ppl ninjago swap au
If you think about it, someone besides Garmadon’s son being the green ninja really wouldn’t change the endgame of season 2 very much, besides making it happen faster, since ultimately Garmadon got the evil exploded out of him not by the power of love but by the power of really big dragons. All of the Ninja would probably see him as more Completely Evil without Lloyd around to show his soft spot, tho, which could make an interesting new, less trusting dynamic. Poor Garmadon.
Backtracking to Season 1, it’s kinda funny to think abt Harumi just being an especially unruly Darkley’s kid (who lost her parents in a traumatic but not ninja-caused accident and is coping poorly by being “villainous,” which got her sent to Darkley’s). She would be hunting down the serpentine tombs just to get petty revenge on the Ninja for ruining a candy heist, which was Lloyds motivation too, but it just seems funnier that this random child was a formidable foe to the ninja without any dark lord dad to live up to.
Fastforwarding again, Garmadon would probably not try to reach out to Prince Lloyd even after he got the evil out of his blood, because he would still probably think that Lloyd was better off without him. I don’t know how Misako got the royal family to adopt Lloyd, the same way Harumi got adopted in canon I guess? But who cares about Misako,
WHICH LEADS ME TO THE FUNNEST PART, PRINCE LLOYDS MOTIVATION FOR RESURRECTING GARMADON: Assuming he was adopted at the same age Harumi was, he would be as familiar with his father as he was in canon in s1, and of course would like him just as much. He would have been following the Ninja and his father’s adventures the same way Harumi did, and maybe convinced himself he was content with that since he would never be allowed to leave the palace, but when Garmadon died for real Lloyd was devistated. He is sure that it’s the Ninja’s fault for failing to save Garmadon. He blames them for robbing him of the chance of ever meeting his real father and is now determined to Fuck Them Up and also use necromancy to meet his dad anyways since he never got the chance before.
