So, I have closed the ask box a bit early because I now work a double shift tomorrow. Sorry, guys! Thank you once again to everyone for all the love and support - polycanons was such a blessing and I loved almost every second of it.

For those curious, I am still working on the drafts folder. A queue of all the requests sent in will start automatically next Friday, when I guesstimate I’ll be done all the past requests. This post will be the last thing set to reblog on that queue so once you see it again, that’s officially the last post on polycanons!

Hi, it's the first anon! You're so very welcome!! I can completely understand the anxiousness. I went through that when I went on hiatus. I mainly write with friends now, but it was a hard decision at the time to take my writing offline. It's hard to keep writing for series you don't feel inspired for anymore, so I can really relate to that. Best wishes for you with everything! Thank you for all your hard work so far! I’m so glad to hear that people understand - it’s really just terrifying because I didn’t want to disappoint anyone but didn’t want to put out mediocre work that I wasn’t enjoying because I figured it really wasn’t the best work, which is what any of my followers deserve! I’m so excited to hear you’ve enjoyed my work enough to follow my other blogs! I hope I’ll keep putting out good work for you and the other followers! And it’s super-exciting to hear you loved Saiyuki! I’m always amazed people are still in that fandom since you rarely hear about it! It’s been one of my long-term loves (though it’s always a bit hard because the manga does take frequent hiatuses so the fandom’s always up and down in terms of activity)! I’m actually really looking forward to it, yeah! While I typically stick to the manga, I’ve really enjoyed the anime adaptions for Saiyuki - the art was good and I enjoyed both the original Japanese voice cast and the dubbed voice cast, which is really rare, at least for me!

Hi I know I'm kinda late to the party but I'm new to tumblr and the hxh fandom and you're one of the first blogs I encountered so it's sad to see you potentially go (srsly you kinda REALLY helped me get my mind off of some shit situations) :-( I was just wondering if you'd potentially start an hxh blog...? Hey there, anon dear! Thank you so much for the sweet compliment - it means a lot to me to know that, as a writer, I helped you get your mind off any problem you were having, if even for a second! As said in my last actual reply though, I’m not really in the Hunter x Hunter fandom anymore really and it’s been difficult for me to write about it, though I still try. I just don’t feel as strongly in love with it as I used to, though I still enjoy it. That’s not to say that my love for it won’t rekindle again and that there’s absolutely no chance of me ever starting a HxH blog, just that it’s not in the plans for the moment. 

As said, I’m not really active in the fandom anymore. I don’t read HxH imagines blogs anymore or really spend much time on HxH fandom blogs anymore, outside of answering the requests sent in for it so I’m not sure what the active HxH blogs are anymore. It’s Time for One Last Blow-Out

So, as I’m sure you’ve guessed from the last couple posts, Polycanons will officially be going on permanant hiatus. I want to, before anything else, thank you all so very, very much for all the love, support, and fun you’ve provided me with since the opening of this blog! I never thought the blog would become as big as it did, be as amazing as it was, or have so many brilliant, beautiful followers as it gained! I’m very sad to be leaving the blog, though I look forward to moving forward with my other blogs and I hope I’ll see some of you there!

Now, as I said, I’m not leaving empty-handed! I feel like that wouldn’t be fair, not leaving without giving you guys anything! So I’ll be accepting last requests, having one big bash - I’ll be accepting requests for all the fandoms currently on the fandom list, for anything (scenarios, match-up, pairing prompts, any event/prompts I’ve ever posted, character aesthetics, fanmixes, and headcanons) until Saturday morning. At that time, the ask box and submission box will completely disappear! I’ll answer the replies as I can and will queue them, one a day. When the queue finally runs out...well, that’s it. The last post polycanons will most likely ever see!

Though I do have some fandoms I know I’ll be continuing on with, I’m really undecided for most of them and I’ll decide largely based on if anyone’s interested in even requesting for any of them anymore so please, don’t feel shy requesting for smaller fandoms or telling me which fandoms you’d enjoy seeing me continue on with. Though I cannot guarantee I’ll continue in them simply because you ask, I’ll definitely take opinions into consideration!

I’ll be making the official announcement with all the details in a minute but I really wanted to let you all know how much these messages have meant to me - I’ve been re-reading them since you sent them and they’ve really helped me not only make a decision but to feel really good (if really anxious and sad at times) about this all.

@sonnelittle: First off, thank you so much for the sweet compliment! It’s really great to hear that you don’t think I’ve been a crappy admin! Life here on polycanons has been up and down and I’ve been really unsure of how I was doing as an admin throughout the course of it all, so it’s fantastic to know that people enjoyed me as an admin! I really love the input on what you like my writing for! It’s so great to know you’d enjoyed both fandoms since I was never sure, especially with HxH, if my headcanons were really fitting! Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I’ll be keeping writing for HxH - it’s been among the fandoms I’m a little worn out on, to be honest with you all (the frequent hiatuses - seriously, me and Togashi have that in common - and general overload of writing for it might have a little to with it, to be brutally honest). I mean, there’s always a chance I might open up a blog for it at some point in the future, but at the moment, it’s not something I immediately plan on doing. However, I do plan, once I’ve done some housekeeping for my other blogs (within the next week or so), to make a BNHA-centric imagines blog, though I do need to get caught up on all the new chapters. I got so busy that I haven’t finished the Hero License Exam Arc!

To the second anon: Thank you so much for the sweet compliments, the support, and the input on which fandoms you enjoy me writing for! It’s really exciting to hear that you’re a fellow Saiyuki fan! The fandom’s so small that I wasn’t sure people really were into it anymore! I definitely have plans to make a Saiyuki-centric imagines blog and plan on rereading both Saiyuki, Gaiden, and Reload and reading Reload Blast and Ibun so that I can write for Saiyuki all across the board!

To the first anon: Thank you so, so much! To hear such lovely support coming from someone else who writes, it was really a relief. Rereading your message really made me much less anxious about my decision. As for the usernames - I currently have a Katekyo Hitman Reborn!-centric blog @ciaossu-imagines, an Eyeshield 21-centric blog @devilbatimagines, and a multi-fandom cartoon-centric blog @toonitude! However, I have plans within the next couple weeks to make a literary-centric imagines blog for various book/comic/manga series, a Harry Potter-centric imagines blog, a Saiyuki-centric imagines blog, a BNHA-centric blog, and a multi-fandom television/movie-centric imagines blog. I’m unsure of what fandoms to keep writing for, honestly! I might introduce some anime series into my cartoon blog...I’m really very unsure overall, at the moment. A Conundrum...?

Hello, my lovely readers! I’ll try not to be too long-winded in this post, though I do tend to ramble, despite my better efforts. 

Anyway, first off, I’d like to thank everyone again, for all the requests sent in for the event and for the few sent in afterwards! I’ll be working on all requests in the inbox over the next week, after work and on my days off. I’m sorry I haven’t posted them yet - I got caught up in a bit of an event on another blog and between that and work, got side-tracked! I apologize but hope to have all 17 waiting requests up by the end of Sunday!

Now, to the actual conundrum part! I know this blog has been on and off hiatus quite a bit and that, even off hiatus, I’ve been posting very little and receiving very few requests! You readers have all been fabulous, please do not get me wrong! I’m so, so blessed to have such amazing readers! However, between work becoming longer and more stressful, issues with health and with work being divided between co-admin’s, I kind of lost interest in polycanons. I did move a lot of fandoms over to their own side-blogs, like with KHR, ES21, and my cartoon blog. All three of those blogs have actually taken off really well, they’re easy for me to check since they’re all linked to my main tumblr account, and honestly, I find it easy to simply answer based on the fandom I’m feeling like writing for at that moment, find it easiest to get excited writing on those ones. Meanwhile, let’s face it, you all can tell I still haven’t really found my love for polycanons again.

So, here’s my conundrum - I love all you readers and there are still fandoms on here I love writing for. I don’t want to be that bad admin. I know half my issues with the blog are because I have been that bad, lazy admin in the past and that asks aren’t flooding in like they are on the other blogs (all relative to the fandom’s size, of course - while my cartoon blog only gets eight or nine asks a month, all the fandoms are small and forgotten, but my KHR blog, where the fandom is still big, got over 100 event asks…polycanons got around twenty-five to thirty) because I’ve been so inactive. I do not blame a single one of you but always me. So, here’s what I want to know because I want to put this out there - I’m seriously considering having one last blow out, letting everyone submit all the asks for every fandom, everything including scenarios, and then putting polycanons on permanent hiatus. Who knows - maybe I’ll get inspiration for this blog again but honestly, maybe not…I cannot be sure. I do know there are still fandoms I love and still want to write for and I’m thinking of opening up imagine blogs purely dedicated to those fandoms linked to my main blog and keeping things going that way. 

I want your guy’s opinion? Should I stay or should I go? Are there any fandoms you love my writing for and would like to see me open another blog for? Do you think I should try sticking this blog out, even as inactive as it is most times? I would honestly love opinions - please, don’t feel shy to talk to me. Sorry I couldn’t find the usual response bubble. I feel that it happens - losing inspiration, possible low count on the people in the fandoms that are totally underrated, life, etc. Thank you for bringing this to our attention though! Perhaps putting it on permanent hiatus would help in giving you a break to focus on things happening in life or to get out to get some inspiration going again. I started following you for the ES 21 prompts you’d write and would love to see more though the requests are rare (from what I see) I love the huge blowout idea though! Prepare for some Reiji Maruko requests if you don’t mind! I’d like to also say thank you for @polycanons because reading your stuff has helped me get through a lot and be part of the ES 21 fandom that’s small but genuine

I’ll be making an official announcement about the blog in just a couple minutes but I definitely appreciate your understanding and support. I do want to mention that I actually don’t accept requests for Eyeshield 21 on polycanons and haven’t for the last month or so, which is why you haven’t seen requests for that one being answered anymore. I do have a blog dedicated purely to Eyeshield 21 right over here, though that I fully encourage you to send all the Marco requests you want to! I love getting requests and I don’t think my love for ES21 will ever die - as you said, the fandom’s small but oh so genuine and oh so sweet! It feels like home.

you could always have someone else take over this blog, you could have people submit their writings to you to see who would be best fitted. or ask around for good writers who might be willing?? im gonna miss you if you do go!! <3

Hmm...that’s an interesting suggestion and I thank you so much for sharing your opinion with me and for being supportive! However, I don’t think that option would work for several reasons.

First off, I don’t think I could choose someone to take over for me. Who am I to decide who is the better writer? What critera do I use? Should it be the person who writes the most like me so the posts will have continuity and whose headcanons completely match my own? But then, who am I to assume that the way I write and my headcanons are better than anyone else’s? There’s so many extremely talented people out there that I couldn’t choose and I wouldn’t want to be in the position of having to.

On top of that - this blog has so many fandoms. Would the new admin have to be a fan of them all? Most of them? Just one of them? If they weren’t a fan of most of the fandoms, why shouldn’t they just open their own blog for the fandom(s) they did like? Why take over a blog instead of making one of their own?

On top of that, I’ll be honest and sincere here - I opened polycanons on my own. I put a lot of work into making it, promo’ing it, doing events, replying to asks. I have poured a lot of work into this. When things got to much, I did rely on co-admin’s but largely, most of what’s on polycanons is my hard work, as fun as that hard work was. I wouldn’t be comfortable going - here, capitalize on all my hard work, on all the formatting I’ve done for masterlists, fandom lists, etc. Capitalize on all the replies I’ve already done, on all the followers this blog already has. If I ever handed this blog off, honestly I’d pull every single reply, every single post, off of here since I wouldn’t want my stuff under someone else’s blog - not that much of it, at least. I’m all for supporting other writers, but not to that extent. I’m selfish. I don’t want to lose all these posts I’ve written either because I hope people still enjoy reading them for the first time or coming back and re-reading them. I link to headcanons I’ve done for questions being reasked on my other blogs because honestly, I put a lot of hard work into writing those headcanons the first time, why should I redo everything just to say the same thing?

Bottom line - I’m not comfortable handing over my hard work to someone else or deleting it all completely, especially since I’m not comfortable setting criteria for any future admin’s. Honestly, if anyone’s interested in writing for a fandom, they’d be better off doing their own blog.

Honestly, though this may seem a cheat, answering it for all three in one answer, all three of these men would do the same thing - pull out, apologize, make sure their partner was fine and would then make sure they wanted to continue before engaging in any further sexual acts with their partner because, simply put, none of these men are complete and utter selfish assholes, as you'd need to try to do anything else if you've caused your partner non-consensual pain during sex.

Of course you can! I can’t say I really have too many unpopular opinions…I guess, the most unpopular one I have would be that I really didn’t care for Brave. It bored me, honestly.

I'm not sure if the sleepover is already over but if it's not then please tell us your favorite genre in books and movies ;u;9 and what's you fave disney movie?

It was not over when you sent this in, please don’t worry about it! And I actually don’t have a favourite genre. I like a lot of variety in terms of what I read and watch - drama, comedy, cop shows/books, supernatural/paranormal, anything really. I do usually avoid romance in books and movies, though there’s always exceptions to the rules - I happen to love the Sookie Stackhouse novels and have a soft spot for 10 Things I Hate About You, so I can’t even say I have genres I avoid! Same goes for Disney movie - I don’t really have a favourite. Classic Disney Princess movies? probably Beauty and the Beast. Non-princess Disney movies? The Hunchback of Notre Dame, with Treasure Planet and Big Hero 6 as a tie for second. Live action Disney - it’s a tie between Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Mary Poppins. There’s just so many Disney movies, in so many different categories, that it’s nearly impossible to pick just one!
