Peerless and Mdzs crossover
Slight Peerless spoilers ahead , no real spoilers for Mdzs tho
You know why a Mdzs and Peerless crossover would be great you might ask ? Wholesome and interesting interaction between our favorites characters? No it's Cui Buqu somehow learning that the Lan Sect has a silencing technique of some sort and dragging Feng Xiao (who is unaware of this detail) to the Cloud Recesses
After greeting the Lan Family Feng Xiao immediately decides to rile up Lan Qiren , because hey , what kind of Demonic Sect leader worth their salt would pass up the opportunity to provoke such an obviously rigid rule abiding orthodox cultivator ?
Poor Lan Qiren doesn't even manage to hold back for 5 minutes before cracking and using the silencing spell on Feng Xiao rendering him unable to speak , Feng Xiao stands in shock for a few second before hurling incoherent muffled insults at the Lan Patriarch
His outburst is interrupted when Cui Buqu (who has remained silent until now ) reaches his hands up to Feng Xiao's face, tilts the man's head towards him while simultaneously cupping both of his cheeks and proceeds ; with the exaggerated facial expression of a lecherous man looking at his favorite courtesan; to loudly proclaim in a equally exaggerated voice :
"Ah Feng-er~, my love, how I've longed for the day I could finally admire that peerlessly beautiful face of yours without the inconvenience of your unending chatter and nagging voice"
Chaos basically breaks loose after this
Cui Buqu shamelessly keeps spouting cringe worthy flirtation at Feng Xiao ,the Lan brothers are doing a team effort in covering Lan Qiren's ears and eyes in fear of having their uncle descend into Qi deviation from witnessing whatever the fuck this is .Wei Wuxian, who had been trying to hold back from laughing for a while is now rolling on the floor from laughter
The man of the hour ; Feng Xiao, frozen and red from neck to ear doesn't know if wants to cut off the tongue of the old donkey who put this cursed spell on him , beat up whoever has been laughing this whole time or slaughter everyone who has borne witness to his humiliation . Judging by the way Cui Buqu keeps looking at him and spouting nonsense, what he does know is that he has fallen for one of that old fox's scheme yet again ,this fact simultaneously makes his temple pulse from anger and his stomach flutter from…an emotion to be examined later.
Feng Xiao knows he could try breaking the spell by force but who knows what would temporarily or permanently happen to his beautiful voice by doing so it was better to let it run it's course ,he has already suffered enough humiliation as it is
In the end Fengcui kinda get kicked out the Cloud Recesses or see themselves out depending on who you ask
The whole reason this happened is that after Fengcui found themselves in some other world so similar yet so different then their own , they decided to go their separate way to gather intel in order to get back to their original world .
While Cui Buqu was investigating, a young master in greyish green robes carrying a beautifully painted fan struck up conversion with him by praising Cui Buqu's own fan (the one that Feng Xiao gave him as a gift ) .That fan enthusiast asked him about the man painted on it and Cui Buqu might have gotten a bit carried away while taking about his lover and his innate gift off not being able to stfu which led to the young master making a joke about the infamous silencing spell of the Lan sect .
Cui Buqu might not have giving this much thought but the more he learned about the this Lan Sect the more it seemed like the perfect Feng Xiao bait , all he had to do was tell his peacock of a lover about the Lan's forbidden section of their library full of secret lethal musical techniques and the potentially priceless guqins/zithers in the sect waiting to be harvested for strings for the oleander spirit's arsenal for him to suggests that they should make a little visit to the Lan Sect.
