Instead of being on a plane coming back from Orlando, I was able to pay a special tribute to my late father and also spend time with my two godsons today. This is the first time that Father's Day has arrived and I find myself as a godfather. One day I will have my own biological children yet I love Aidan and Kai'den, my two heartbeats! #MyWhy #Motivation2Elevation

TRUE STORY: It takes a lot to get me angry to the point that I will go in on someone. About an hour ago, an 18 year old, disrespectful white boy came into the office and disrespected me in front of dozens of people and accused me of having an attitude. Just because a person is not smiling does not mean they have an attitude. He tries to get loud because I would not give him a waiver. He doesn’t own a vehicle and I articulated to him 3 times that we cannot issue a waiver if we don’t know what we are issuing a waiver on. My supervisor (a smaller white lady) comes all the way up from her desk in the back after she hears (and never heard me) and tells him the exact same thing. He walks away saying that my tie sucks and also calls me a “faggot” because I have on a purple shirt and have on this band. On one side it says #LiveYourBestLife and on the other side, #AnswerTheCall I have a black one on my left wrist that says #LivingLiveLoudNow both for personal reasons, reminding of two moments that have changed my life this year. In that moment, when I considered clapping back after being publicly disrespected, I thought how I have been privately disrespected this year by many people who have become enemies. Then, I looked at my right wrist and remember what I am fighting for, which is bigger than me. Live Your Best Life! I have gained a new “family” that is pushing and stretching me to greatness. THE AFTERMATH: He never got his waiver and an older white lady I waited on afterwards, told me that I did an awesome job of keeping my cool with that “idiot” (her words, not mine). She also said, “You should be proud and I know your mom would be proud too.” I smiled and told her I really appreciated that. LESSON: “It’s gonna hurt bad but don’t take it out on the next, son, Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you and treat you bad, let God deal with the things they do, because hate in your heart will consume you too!” ~ Will Smith #Motivation2Elevation #OneDayAtATime
