one of my favorite things about this fandom is that you'll have the people who read a chapter and IMMEDIATELY go "[x] is definitely going to happen" like they can predict the future, and then it doesn't happen that way at all.

but then you have the people who read a chapter and go "WAIT, THIS WOULD BE SO FUNNY LMAO. it's never going to happen like that, but it would be hilarious."

Sometimes i feel like a lot of people headcanon sasuke as gay as opposed to bi because they kinda ignore what love looks like for him. Not to say he can’t be gay, i mean I couldn’t look you in the eye and say truthfully that it’s impossible. But I think that people will say he’s gay because they think he treats women coldly compared to men when that’s not entirely true.

Sasuke, from what I’ve seen, doesn’t show a lot of affection to anyone unless it’s someone he deems close to him. He doesn’t show a lot of affection to anyone— man or woman because they’re not Naruto or Sakura. He’s not showing a gender bias he’s just biased 😭

Uchiha are known to love deeply. And I feel like with that comes a selectiveness. On top of that sasuke’s got a selective personality. He doesn’t just give his love out to others. He’s not like Naruto who willingly puts his heart on the line for others in an attempt to show they’re worth understanding.

We know by watching the show that Sakura and Naruto are of equal importance to him because of how badly he tries to get rid of them. Now someone could make the argument that his attempt to get rid of Naruto was fiercer than his attempt to get rid of Sakura. And I’d half agree. On one hand, the show does make a point to say sasuke and Naruto’s relationship is special.

The author does that for the plot and to use the extremes of their relationship to expand on the themes of friendship, empathy, understanding, the forms and effects love can have on others, and what it even means to have a friend to begin with.

But on the other hand, what else is he supposed to do?? He can go easier on Sakura because Sakura isn’t chasing after him with foam coming out her mouth talking about “we’ll just die and understand eachother in the afterlife” I’d fight hard too, Naruto’s ass is crazy asf 😭⁉️

Sasuke does not love Sakura less than Naruto. Their love has the same weight to him and he had the same feelings of fear and inadequacy towards both of their love. He just shows it a little differently.

At the end of the day though it’s a free country you can headcanon him as whatever you want.

Everybody in the class except Sakura and Suo seem to have blinders on for Nirei lol he’s not actually weak, but that’s their smol guy, their little dude. He’s never done anything wrong in his life.

They would try to fist fight a seagull if it stole his fries. They would fight a curb if he tripped on it. Sugishita is flinging papers out the window of the classroom bc he got a paper cut. He gets hit by a wave at the beach and now we have to fight the ocean.

Nirei, himself, finds this kind of annoying

If Nirei ever says something self-deprecating, they’re going to square up on instinct then have a crisis about whether than can ethically beat up Nirei on Nirei’s behalf.

i agree so much about making your blorbos pathetic but i do fear that many take this to mean 'make them more traditionally feminine/submissive' which genuinely hurts my soul. make your blorbos pathetic in interesting character-oriented ways. understand their neuroses and turn the dials up to eleven. juxtapose the parts of life they handle extremely well with the parts of their lives that make them eat shit. make them angry. make them cold. make them pave their own way to hell while building walls preventing them from seeing any other way. please i'm begging you no more pathetic as an euphemism for bottoming im gonna mclose it.

Idk why my brain thought his two languages were English and Mandarin (pretty sure that’s wrong and you’re right), but this low-key makes it even funnier. He’s actually trilingual but lying about it to get out doing extra work and this is how his brothers find out he does in fact speak Mandarin in addition to his first two languages lol
