If you are anything like me, every year there seems to be some sort of extended power outage. Whether it's an intense storm or the electric company "working on something," First Energy always has an excuse why they can't supply power to our homes. After replacing all the food in the refrigerator multiple times, sweating in summer and freezing in winter, I broke down and bought a DuroMax XP10000E generator. Let me tell you, this bad boy is a workhorse! Somebody did a demo video on it above, in which he gives his review of the generator, and I definitely recommend you check it out.
With 10,000 watts to power items in the home, I can run both my refrigerator and deep freezer with plenty of electricity left over for lighting and even the cable box and television. There's nothing like watching TV during an extended power outage to keep up to date on what's happening. If you have First Energy for an electricity provider, let me tell you not much is happening with them during a power outage! They obviously know they get paid by the hour and milk it for every minute they can.
Unfortunately many people in my neighborhood had to buy generators. The power outages occur so often that we really have no choice. But there's one thing about it; my DuroMax XP10000E generates more power than nearly everyone else's generators. It's easy to tell when the power is out an my house is lit up like a Christmas tree and their homes look like they have candles lit!
Though the XP10000E is portable (it does have never-flat wheels), it's not a light item. It weighs around 250lbs, so don't think you will be picking this thing up and moving it to other locations without a little help. But the generator does have all the bells and whistles including an electric start, low oil automatic shutdown, plenty of receptacles for various power cords and circuit protection for safety.
If you are tired of throwing food out and being uncomfortable in your home because of a power outage, the DuroMax XP10000E generator is your solution. Granted, it's not cheap. But if you figure out how much money in food loss and hotel expenses would cost, this generator is definitely more cost effective in the long-run.
