I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THE GOOD OMENS FANGAME, NAMED "TRANSIENT"!!! IT IS LITERALLY SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! HOW COME SO LITTLE PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT IT??

ITS AN RPG WITH PUZZLE ELEMENTS!!(excited nerd noises) i suppose there is a possibility for a terribly sad ending, but i wont risk my sanity to play it.. There is a let's play, too!:)

"apparently if we do a miracle together it all works a bit too well" listen LISTEN i think this is why. i think the magnitude and power of that miracle they did together is what alerted the metatron and why he has come to separate them by all means, because they have not realized yet quite how powerful they are together and what that could mean!! this is why, i think???? they used to do each other's miracles and temptations for each other, but never with, and that could change everythign and could get in the way of certain Ineffable Plans (that i don't think are necessarily God's, looking at you villain metatrash)

Now i absolutely love this take and i mean this with no malicious intent but, i assume that it was so strong because they were also holding Gabriel 's hands when it happened who is an archangel i may be wrong though since he WAS fired

that was actually my original thought as well (see my tags) but I really think Gabriel was a distraction/red herring, especially bc of Crowley's throwaway line in ep6, 'if we do a miracle together', he says it so casually but he is sure the miracle's power was theirs so I'm choosing to believe that too

(and yes Gabriel being both demoted from his status and an amnesiac in a human's body also makes his involvement less likely--not saying it's not possible but idk idk) (maybe it's just that I want it to be them bc of the possibilities it opens up for some big amazing together-miracle in s3)

Just quick reminder, in case you've forgotten: TV shows are supposed to save us from hurtful reality, and S2 had a genre hurt/no comfort.

I really hope S3, if it ever happens (or a book maybe?), will take away all no-s, and transform them into yes-s. I refuse to embrace cruel reality of the end of Ep6. I even wrote a fix-it on Ao3.

I'm sorry. I thought that anyone who had seen Crowley and Aziraphale split up in the Bandstand and again on the Soho street, and the bookshop burn down and Aziraphale discorporate, in Season 1, had already experienced bad things happening to characters they love, especially at the end of act 2.

And no, I didn't ever think that I was only making comfort viewing. I was making thinking and feeling viewing too.

I love that it's making people write fix-it-fictions. That's always the best response to art: making your own.
