people are getting the info on the AI POSTAL stuff SUPER wrong so to clarify
- RWS outsourced their game to a dev team that, in recent years, made two games with AI art
- RWS' own art team isn't knowledgeable on AI so it makes sense on how they didnt catch it at first
- however RWS has always been openly against AI and condemns it constantly
- despite this they were clearly scammed by the outsourced team and made to believe their art isn't AI with their only evidence being a photoshop file with over 700 layers
- the "artist" of the outsourced team AI gen'd the key art, and then just recreated it piece by piece on different layers to make it look like they made it. however it doesnt contain a sketch or any revision notes that would help to convince people that its not AI
- multiple people pointed this out to the RWS team and told them they were scammed, but some bad actors decided to accuse RWS themselves of using AI and secretly condoning it
- this is where Mike J comes in and gets incredibly defensive, mostly because people were accusing them of condoning AI, which turned into him getting mad at ANYONE calling the key art AI and now saying things like "the anti-ai mob is whats killing art more than anything" and that "anyone who accuses the art of being AI can leave the server"
- Vince Desi, of all people, comes into the server, and is the most sensible person on the team, saying "hey guys we're looking into this just as much as you and would love any evidence to either it being AI or not so we can make a proper decision"
- finally another team member comes in to say "we're still looking into it cause even our 2D artist doesnt know their way around AI so please be patient and know that we do still hate AI"
