„Draw me a Rhino!“ - A new book project
At present, we are busy with printing our new book project, a large-format screen-printed book involving 12 international artists from Germany, Belgium, South Korea, and the USA. This time on colored paper - a completely new challenge. And like with all our former silkscreen projects, we are happy to print at Olli Nerlich's workshop in Neukölln!

TRIBUTE TO LEEN VAN HULST
"Our colleague Leen Van Hulst passed away on 23 January 2025, at the age of 42, after a courageous battle against an illness. This exhibition is a tribute to her and is based on works by Leen from the KBR collection.
Leen Van Hulst was an illustrator and printmaker. She was born in Jette and studied painting and illustrative design in Antwerp. Based in Borgerhout, she worked for many years as a freelance illustrator for a wide range of clients in Belgium and abroad. At KBR, she was responsible for the Chalcography department, where she focused on printing and making prints.
This exhibition shows her diverse oeuvre and the lasting mark she has left as an artist and colleague." (KBR, 2025)
Pop-Up Expo at the Royal Library of Belgium (KBR), Brussels (BE) from October 22, 2025 to January 26, 2026 in the General Reading Room. Free access monday to saturday, 9 am to 5 pm.
FAREWELL TO LEEN VAN HULST (1982 - 2025)
Our fellow artist and group member Leen van Hulst passed away in January.
An Om Tryambakam for Leen; the mantra of healing, travellers and the departed.
It is hard for us to believe that Leen is no longer walking this earth. We experienced her as a very sensitive, subtle and warm-hearted person, and as a dynamic graphic artist. Leen worked in a wide variety of media, from graphic novel to magazine illustrations, prints and small press.
Be it in her characteristically sensitive watercolour portraits, in her vigilant and unerring pencil drawings, in the subtle materiality of her aquatint etchings or her experimental work for risoprints and screenprints - based on a visual realism, often autobiographically tinged, Leen has consistently radiated a light vibration and achieved a wonderful poetic quality in her illustrations.
We already miss her very much, and our collective will be a different one without Leen.

FUMETTO 2023
We are back from this years Fumetto-Festival! And once again, the audience was pretty great: many graphic artists, designers, illustrators, comic artists, comic lovers – in other words, graphics enthusiastic people. Among our books and prints the Risoprints in particular have been very well received by the "trained" audience.
And the dates for next years festival have already been announced: March 9-17, 2024
Fumetto Festival 2023
The enchanting comic festival Fumetto, in Lucerne, Switzerland, is back! And Poste Aérienne is happy to be back this year. You will find us and our books, prints and editions on March 18th and 19th at the festival at the "Small Press Heaven".

How to make Graphic Novels
The renowned Verlag Hermann Schmidt has now published "Von der Idee zur Graphic Novel - Erzählen in Bildern". In fact, a guide on how to make graphic novels, asking (and answering) questions like "Where do the stories come from?", "How do you get your own style?" and "How do you find your audience - and a publisher?". Journalists are already calling the book a "standard work“. Not bad. In addition to many well-known authors and illustrators of graphic storytelling, the book naturally also includes publications by artists from Poste Aérienne!

MONOTYPES
Three members of Supalife Kiosk, Michael Zander, Michael Wismar and Hagen Thiel, show their latest monotypes, which were created in the back gallery room during the lockdown in 2020/21. Numerous unique pieces, which do not belong to conventional printmaking, were created until summer. The opening of the exhibition took place on Saturday, July 31, in the presence of the artists. The exhibition can be seen until August 26th.

The Time is out of Joint
The year 2020 began globally with biblical plagues, natural disasters, viruses and epidemics of terrifying proportions. It continues with acute housing shortages, military threats, human rights violations and childbirth strikes. A huge abundance of images that we soak up through the media hits the project motto, the quote from William Shakespeare, like a fist on the eye.
Orange and silver, these are the two colors that the illustrator group Poste Aérienne has chosen for their new, ongoing risography project. Following the first graphic portfolio „Bread and Roses“, a second, limited portfolio with eight numbered and signed risographies by selected artists on the subject of „The Time is out of Joint“, an English phrase based on William Shakespeare (1564 - 1616) .

My new screenprint is finished. It is printed in five colours (white+cmyk) on black cardboard in a limited edition of 30 copies. Each copy is numbered and signed.

The Time is out of Joint
Our new Risoprint Project is about to be released. With increasing excitement within the next few days the completion of the second limited Risoprint Artist Portfolio is to be expected. It comprises eight fantastic two-coloured prints created by our Poste Aérienne members. Right now Michael Zander and C.POM are working on finalising the cover and the stitching. The Risographics 2020 are printed in orange and silver. The extraordinary choice of colours fits best to the true motto and quote from Shakespeare “The time is out of joint“ in theses days.
MEAKUSMA FESTIVAL 2019
Some snaphots from our visitation at last years Meakusma Festival, Eupen, Belgium. Three September days of extraordinary concerts, DJs, installations, artist talks, workshops and screenings. UNLEASHED LOVE
A few weeks ago I made my very first lithography in the printing workshop of Eberhard Hartwig in Berlin. It took quite a while to internalize the individual steps, such as grinding the stone, drawing on the stone without touching it, different etching processes with acids of different strengths, correction options, uniform coloring of the stone, printing, keeping the stone wet, cleaning and grinding of the stone. It was a lot of fun. I made an edition of eight prints, which I named “Unleashed Love”. Maybe I try to color one of the prints with watercolor paints.

FUMETTO 2019
We have had a good time again – meeting comic artists, illustrators, collectors and comic enthusiasts on Small Press Heaven, Fumetto Comic Festival in Lucerne. This year Poste Aérienne was exhibitor on 30th to 31st March, as well as 6th to 7th of April.
