FunTatas or Potalose? š„š
To see is to believe and to know is to experience. If I'm going to describe the food stall with words, I think that will be fitting. What could possibly be the experience that awaits you? What could possibly be the thing to hook you on experiencing it again?
For the past blogs, I've done reviews on the food and entertainment the stall offers. However, I realized that I haven't really given a review "Potato Corner" as a whole. There are things that still need to be talk about. Example are the locations of Potato Corner's stalls, the aesthetics, the flavor options, the menu, the pricing, etc.
For the location of Potato Corner, I believe almost every mall has a Potato Corner that is serving customers. SM food courts have Potato Corner, Riverbank Mall have a Potato Corner, and even at the opposite side of the street in an urban area have a Potato Corner. The brand is so successful that it is not surprising to see different branches opening. The stalls are not that hard to find thus being accessible to anyone.
For the menu, not all branches of Potato Corner have the same menu. The classics like cheese, barbeque and sour cream, are always available but flavors like cheddar cheese, wasabi, adobo, chocolate, etc. can't be seen on different branches. It is understandable that for a stall it is not present because the funds, place, appliances, and resource are not the same throughout their branches. With that in mind, don't always expect if a flavor or product is not available on your branch. Despite that statement, it shouldn't discourage you from the fact that every flavor is worth a try.
For the pricing, It is a bit inconsistent and overpriced. Example for a regular size of Potato Corner, the price ranges from 29 to even 40 pesos. With not a lacking amount kf fries on their small cup, it is overpriced. The difference on the price on different branches raises an eyebrow for me. I remember that on one stall, the price for regular is 29, but when I go to the other stall on a different mall, the price is 35. The rent on the place might be the reason but it is absurd to have this inconsistency that leads to overpricing. Additionally, this might not be true to all but there is this rumored marketing strategy that they put "out-of-stock" or "unavailable" on regular size for people that are craving for their product buy a larger size which cost more money. That is a bit discouraging for me but it is just business and we still have the free will to eat or not to eat.
In conclusions to my statement, even though I am enthusiastic about the brand, there are still good things and bad things that we should consider. To see is to believe and to know is to experience. I am merely giving my reviews and take to this brand and product which means that is still up to you if you want to give it a shot and experience it.
