Potion for Sleep
WHAT YOU NEED:
a mug
lavender ( to relax )
1-2 teaspoons
honey ( to sweeten your dreams )
a teaspoon or less
milk
a pot ( optional! )
INTENT: To âRest Easy and Dream Gently.â
STEPS:
Put together your lavender, honey, and milk either in your glass or pot. Focus on your intent while doing so.
Heating:
If using a pot, let the ingredients reach a boil and then transfer to your mug.
If using just a mug, put in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute.
Stir your potion clockwise and close your eyes, repeating the phrase âRest easy and Dream gentlyâ until you feel your potion has gathered enough of your energy.
This is at your discretion and may be different than how long other people do it!
Enjoy it before bed and feel free to save it for nights that sleep doesnât come easy!
Being a witch is aggressively meditating over your tea to make it make your throat feel better, furiously whispering a few odd words of an incantation while youre trying to go to sleep, spending hours looking in your spice rack for the herb you need, burning things, burning incense, burning your hand by accident Its filling things with positive energy and draining them of the negative, its being the person everyone comes to with their problems because somehow you always know how to fix it Its always smelling earthy and warm from essential oils and herbs, always carrying around rocks Its knowing in your heart that you can change things Its knowing that sometimes its better if you dont Its knowing that you are all you need sometimes, and belief is stronger than any potion Being a witch is not evil or bad or wrong, its soft and beautiful and pure.

IT WAS
Hello, while I was in high school/middle school I read a serious of books in which the main group of characters worshiped the goddess Nyx and her consort, Erebus. Though it is a fictional book, I feel a connection to the goddess they describe and the way the utilize the casting of circles connected to the elements to worship her, closely related to Native American beliefs. I was wondering if you could shed some light on the goddess, or guide me to where to begin my research. Peace be with you
This is going to turn into a lot of word vomit because I have so many things to say about this. If youâre referencing the House of Night books then let me tell you a little something:
Thatâs exactly where I got my start worshipping Nyx.
When it comes to the practice of calling to the elements and casting circles and such, I say go for it. Research what the different elements can stand for, apply them to spells, etc. But do NOT appropriate any Native practices you may find in the books if you are not of that Native tribe i.e. You can smoke cleanse, but donât call it smudging; you can research any native practices without actually putting them into practice. I believe some Native cultures allow practice if you make the effort to go learn from an actual Native teacher and adhere to their rules about their religions. But thatâs some, not all and I may be mistaken.
When it comes to Nyx, thereâs not a lot to read on her. As much as I enjoyed the HoN books when I was in high school (although I do like the first few over the last few) they donât paint Nyx in the most accurate light. Sure sheâs a loving goddess, but she is also a jealous goddess, a powerful goddess. Iâve lost track of how many times Iâve mentioned that even Zeus dared not upset her because he feared her.
Working with Nyx (and even Erebus, though I have less of a relationship with him) can be a little tricky. In my personal experience, she likes it to be made obvious that you need her help. Sometimes Iâll just outright say âOkay, I really need some help here. I donât have much to offer but Iâll leave a dark chocolate Godiva bar on the altarâ because sometimes thatâs all you can do.
The elemental worship factor is nice, especially because if Iâm feeling like getting a different kind of help (other than that the night and darkness provide) Iâll call on the elements. Iâve gone with lots of the cliche affiliations, like wind for messages, fire for passion, water for change, earth for grounding, and spirit for strengthening myself personally. Even casting a circle and calling all the elements for their abstract combined power, just to give your spells or rituals or anything else a little boost. But respect the powers you are asking for help, whether they be deities or other powers found in nature.
If you have any more specific questions, or fi you want to talk about the book series (because Iâm always down for that) you can message me on my pagan blog :)

I freakin love off the wall illuminati theories
âOff the wallâ. Vans. Vans off the wall. Vans are also cars. Who drives vans? Creeps. Whos creepy? Slenderman. Slenderman wears a suit, so Natalia Kills would dissaprove. âNatalia Killsâ has three Aâs in it. a triangle has three sides. This post is illuminati confirmed.
Iâm so happy tbh
You just proved it again. âIâm so happy tbhâ has 12 letters in it. It also has 4 words. Guess what 12 divided by 4 is? Thatâs right- itâs 3. A triangle has 3 sides. Checkmate. Illuminati confirmed yet again. This is too easy.
remember that sasuke figurine that could hold up like literally fricking anythign
And my personal favorite
ARE YOU KIDDING ME
This is one of my favorite posts on this goddamn site.
ive said this before and ill say it again: notice how meta knights costume has no seams. meta knight killed a person. meta knight fucking killed this penguin and is now residing in their body
or maybe he just has the seams on the inside like anybody sewing a penguin disguise would do because he takes pride in his work instead of being a lazy glutton like Kirby who just waddles around like a fucking idiot eating everything in sight like thatâs why Meta Knight is so embarrassed whenever you beat him and his mask comes off and he looks just like Kirby because an honorable knight of his caliber doesnât want to be associated with that shitty-ass pink blob that somehow always saves everybody every god damn time just by eating things

-is allergic to chocolate -is physically incapable of laughter (it comes out as a hiss, like steam escaping a pipe) -has weird long vampire teeth -once led a chemical attack on some college students who had bullied his high school chemistry class -named his bicycle Tom Bombadil -got hired twice for the same job as himself and his fake identical twin because his boss wouldnât hire him full time -is the only member of my family to have shown me open and unconditional support -is a clean-cut nerd⊠who used to be a psychedelic Deadhead and follow them around on tour -enjoys snacking on an exercise formula called âgooâ; his favorite flavor is âplainâ. Plain goo. He gave me a box of it for Christmas once and itâs as gross as it sounds. -cannot touch mangos -teaches meditation seminars at his Buddhist temple -has begun studying magic -used to be obsessed with cults, especially Scientology, and would just⊠spy on their temples -is so fucking weird -used to drive a car that heâd covered entirely in plastic lizards, until someone stole it -is terrified of the flying monkeys from The Wizard of Oz and still has nightmares about them
-is sending me on a roadtrip to the National Radio Quiet Zone for fun and education
-showed up to a family outing downtown this morning, wearing nylon shorts and expensive leather Oxford formal shoes -cried himself to sleep as a child because he desperately wanted a pet alligator -has experimented with god knows how many psychoactive substancesâŠ. For Science -is a literal masochist, as discovered this afternoon, when he told me all about how heâs addicted to the âexcruciating pain and unexpected pleasureâ of physical therapy -has feet so long he has to get shoes custom made for him - they have, in the past, been mistaken for clown shoes -once took his girlfriend on a date to lick the St. Louis Arch, in winter, and later revealed that he only framed it as a date âcause he was afraid of going alone in case his tongue got stuck to the metal -told me that he loved how bananas made his whole throat feel tingly, was surprised to find out that bananas are not supposed to have this effect -was disappointed that I did not bring a book on demon conjugation to the family reunion, because he wanted to compare it to his own translation -got banned from going down a slide today because he was dripping wet and had clearly been swimmingâŠ. he was just really sweaty from climbing the stairs
-sent me a check but forgot my legal name and put my nickname on it instead (it canât be deposited and he hasnât sent another)
this is what he wore to a family outing downtown
He showed up to our Christmas Eve dinner wearing a dress shirt, fancy slacks, and flip flops. All he ate was a bowl of smoked oysters.
