Gillian Anderson for Winser London 2018.
Oh look it’s GA again. Let me just reblog this for good measure.
Omg a young Miranda Priestly
i love sitting on a sofa with one leg crossed over the other and my arms spread out across the headboard behind me like a young, reckless, 1920s gentleman of ambiguous sexuality, with more money than i know what to do with and an intense weariness of the shallow, hedonistic lifestyle enjoyed by my companions
always follow what raises your vibration. anything that sets your soul on fire, makes you excited and gives you those goosebumps is in alignment with your higher self. that is your destiny, everything else will fall into place after
my dad just exploded into laughter out of nowhere and told me ‘imagine the lion king but with sea lions’ he has been chuckling about it for 5 straight minutes now
apparently it doesn’t matter that i’ve told him 10 times it’s the monkey who raises the newborn and not the lion himself, this is the scene he has been imagining
“he can’t raise his kid over his head”
I want it
okay but have you considered

@squorkal can it be my job to find you seal posts? Because I want that job
my mind says college but my heart says isolated sheep herder in Iceland

girl why do ppl who dont have an ounce of empathy love going into health care fields so much like ok susan you hate kids why are you majoring in pediatrics
I know SO MANY people who are working in medicine, in med school, and aspiring to be doctors who hate patient care. One dropped out of our internship because “it was too many whiny patients.” She was in the PICU. Sick kids have every right to be whiny. Btw she’s in medical school. She wants to go into neonatal care.
Another person I know listed out that he doesn’t want to work with kids, the elderly, homeless people, drug addicts, “crazy people,” “scary people,” etc. It was honestly sickening. Those are all people. They are all deserving of care and dignity. He is also in medical school.
If you want to be in healthcare you better have the intention to do good and the empathy/sympathy to be a decent human being to people going through a hard time in their lives. I have been spit on, nearly bitch slapped twice, had terrible experiences between racism, cruel parents, misogyny, and all of the ugly aspects of humanity. And I STILL gave equal, unbiased care. I STILL want to do good and I STILL try to put myself in their place and ask what I would want if I were ill.
somebody: you're cool
me: you have been greatly misled
““I remember one morning getting up at dawn. There was such a sense of possibility. You know, that feeling. And I… I remember thinking to myself: So this is the beginning of happiness, this is where it starts. And of course there will always be more…never occurred to me it wasn’t the beginning. It was happiness. It was the moment, right then.””
