winter babies: which baby are you!

hot cocoa baby: doesn't wanna go outside because its too cold, a sippy or bottle full of hot cocoa, big oversized sweaters and tall fuzzy socks, wants to cuddle and watch wintery movies, sits curled up by the fireplace like a little cat.

snowball fight baby: outside !! ? owo, snowball fights, "no don't eat the snow sweetheart-", sharpens candy canes into weapons by sucking on them, burns marshmallows to a black crisp at the fireplace.

winter crafts baby: making holiday decorations, knitting or crocheting little scarves, listens to holiday music while they work, decorating the house and kind of failing but everyone is so proud, put my art on the fridge please, making presents for everyone.

not a winter baby: whining because it's too cold, grumpy, just wants to play outside!, would rather it be halloween or something, pouting and asking to be read to, twenty layers of warm or fuzzy clothing.

Hi little one, I just wanted to check in. Have you been drinking your water? What about some snackies? If you have meds, did you remember to take them today? And lastly, do you know how much I love and care about you? You're so small, I know it can be hard to remember to take care of yourself sometimes. Pippi will always be here for you with a gentile reminder that you are the most unique, magnificent, and wonderful kiddo to ever grace this world, and that each one of you angels bring something magical to this little blog that's began to feel like home for me. I'm so proud of you for everything you accomplished today, even if it was simply getting out of bed to move to the couch, or snacking on gummies. Fun activities for littles and their caregivers to do together:

Older littles:

Build a blanket fort and watch your favorite movies

Buy bath tub crayons and when you bathe, draw pictures together

Go to build-a-bear and make the bear versions of each other

Play stuffie hide-n-seek ( the little hides a stuffie somewhere in the room/house and the caregiver has to find it in five minutes. If they fail, the little gets a treat)

Younger littles:

Play the color game! The caregiver shows them something and the little has to name the color! (One of my favorites)

The animal game: the caregiver lists out odd animals that most people don’t know the sounds of, and the little can make up what they thing it would sound like

Sensory games (seek future post for ideas)

Make a song/story together: the caregiver starts with a base and the little fills in the gaps (ex. Caregiver: “once upon a time there was a….” Little: “turtle”)
