My mum has to drive over the Millau viaduct every time she visits me, and the other day I was in the car with her and said we should stop to take a picture, and she said, Must we. And I said, Come on! it’s the tallest bridge in the world. And she just wouldn’t believe me. It’s too familiar to be special… She was like, surely the tallest bridge in the world would be somewhere else. Not between my house and yours.
