âHow do you feel about this one?â June asked as he held out another book to her. âThereâs poetry about love in it. Thereâs also some general stuff about life in it so Iâm not sure if we should put it into a sub category of poetry or just leave it in general.â

Regardless of the project, whenever youâre working on something, the best you can hope for is to be around good people, and I got exactly that. It makes everybodyâs day easier. You go home happy, you go to work happy, you make a better project because everybody loves it and loves each other.
Nora & June | @powersofjuneâ The Night Owl
Nora had heard about the happenings of The Night Owl and she couldnât help but think it was a great idea, she didnât exactly have anyone to spend any time with herself, not serious enough for the holidays anyway. Boots clicking on the floor Nora looked for the owner, ready to offer her services, well a helping hand, services was far to suggestive in Santa Ysabel. âHey anyone home?â She called poking her head around the corner.Â
June had been in the back organizing book donations for the book giveaway. Books were everywhere. He had to go through them by hand to make sure they were in good condition. People used this time to get rid of books in general, not thinking about how the next person would feel if there were pages missing. June was on his fifth stack when he heard a voice. No one came around this early unless they were looking for a book or him. He got up, dusting off his pants as he walked out into the small hallway. âYes Iâm here! Sorry about that. Iâm uhh...â For a moment, he forgot who he was. The woman who stood before him made his train of thought fall off its track. He blinked twice in an attempt to recover from his lapse in sanity. âIâm June the owner. What can I do for you?âÂ

@powersofjuneâ.
  The last time she went out it was the halloween event, before that never. Leticia was still establishing a routine with her business at her home and the festival was a chance to meet others. Instead it now haunted her along with the town. Today her friendâish chef convinced her there may still be opportunity in town. Discovering the little book-bar was rather nice, perhaps a rare one in the mix. Leticia sat down giving a little nod to the person next to her who gave her a look. âIs this â a quiet night?â
This was his safe space. He put blood, sweat, and tears into making The Night Owl a place for everyone. June was busy ordering more books via his phone when someone sat next to him. He prided himself on the amount of time he spent with his customers. It made the place feel more like a home than a business. âIt is. It picks up during the holidays since it seems like Santa Ysabel is a magnet for people family issues.â he said without looking up. âWhat brings you in. Sorry Iâm not trying to be rude. Iâm preparing for Christmas book giveaways.â

âI have pineapple, orange, cranberry, apple, grapefruit, and pomegranate juice. Usually thereâs more but Iâve been spending more time at The Night Owl than here. You pick a juice and Iâll get the liquor. Then we can talk about our shitty life choices like real siblings do.â They had catch ups like these. Sibling dinners involved alcohol so they didnât have to feel the pain of their missing sister.
meet june daniel powers
âââ you see [ june daniel powers ] around lately? yeah i heard that the [ cismale ] is up to no good. [ he/him ] has been here for [ two years ] now but theyâre still pretty [ controlling ] which is fine because theyâre also [ protective ] so it balances out. the [ twenty eight ] year old [ owner of the night owl ] actually looks like a lot like [ lakeith stanfield ], donât you think? itâs best to watch out, though, because itâs been said that theyâre really into [ bondage & fall scented candles ].
