“There’s a certain magic to this place. It’s unlike anywhere else.” Gio wasn’t an emotional person. In fact some people even would describe him as heartless. Those were the ones that didn’t know him. He felt deeply and had the ability to keep it all contained. Unless it was something extreme then it was let out in an act of violence. Avery was hitting all the right notes. In an odd way, she remind him of his daughter. Brave, determined, and a fighter. “If you’re trying to make me cry it won’t work. You may as well lay that one to rest.” he joked.
“How many kids are you looking to have? I’ll babysit only three times. After that you have to find someone else. It would ruin my image.” His own daughter ended up being just like him. He couldn’t rub off on someone elses child. Morally, he wasn’t the best person to have around children. “There have been two. They were both handled. If you want you can come in and talk to the two girls that were attacked. I had them take some self defense classes but the emotional damage is something that I cannot help with.” The only thing he could do for the girls was give them some time off. He’s not the type of guy to come crying to because he cannot be a therapist. It’s not who he was. “It sounds interesting. Can you sign a copy and make it out to the best boss you ever had?”
