Ana Mouyis - Bio
Ana Mouyis is an Illustrator and Animator based in Brooklyn NY. She received a BFA in Illustration from Parsons the New School for Design and an MFA in Animation and Motion Arts from Pratt institute.
Since 2009 she has worked as freelance commercial arts specializing in illustration and animation, clients have included: The New York Times, The Boston Globe, EMI Records, Interscope Records and Novatis. In 2014 she co-founded the experimental animation collective Circle Line Projects. In addition to collaborative and client work, Mouyis directs and animates independent short films. The first of which, “Pussy!” - released in 2015, has gone on to appear in a number of film festivals and receive prestigious design and animation awards. This year, her newest film “Dahlia” – a four-minute paint-on-glass animated short, premiered in her hometown of Nicosia, Cyprus where it won the Best National Animation award and is set to screen at a number of film festivals worldwide in the coming months. Here is an example of my work. I made this short film a couple years ago. Its called “Pussy!” and is about a cat who want to swim. Enjoy! :)
