Konoha’s hospital isn’t one of Akari’s favorite places.

She had never truthfully spent much time within the clinical white walls. In the ranks of ANBU it was common to stick to their own medic nin when emergency struck, a silent agreement amongst the masked members that only their own could be truly trusted. Akari had toppled through the open window of Bear’s apartment, dripping blood on his couch more times than she can count. Trips to the hospital usually meant that an ANBU couldn’t be saved, or would be irreparably changed and inevitably stripped of their mask. For them, the hospital has always meant death.

But not today.

i love when inojin just says things. like, you never have to wonder what he’s thinking because he will point blank tell you, unprompted, and it will either

a) be factually true

b) hurt your feelings

c) be the funniest take possible

d) any combination of all of the above

and then you have someone probably shikadai who’s like “hey wasn’t that a little harsh?” and inojin either says “oh, was it? i didn’t realize. oh well” (just like sai would) or “yeah that was the whole point” (just like ino would) and then he just disappears and draws pretty pictures until it’s time to fight or play video games
