“I’ll level with you, I honestly don’t know.” He sighed a little bit, scratching at the back of his neck. “When I trigger time stops for a while, or at least slows.” Dante began to pace a bit, trying to think. “I know how demons work, and that isn’t demonish enough.” He almost seems to have forgotten Sylla was there. He reached for a drink before finding he couldnt actually touch the bottles. “Thats a new one…”
He sighed softly, shaking his head. “You ain’t nephilim…That just leaves angel, I guess.” It took more than a few moments before he realized what he’d said. “Oh shit. You’re a fucking angel?! … No wonder Dad picked one. Damn.”
Sylla simply stares, almost disbelieving the suggestion of his nature. Needless to say he cannot deny it outright. Nor can he hide the smile curving his lips at Dante’s comment. He is not certain what his friend means by ‘no wonder’, but he is willing to take the compliment for what it is.
With a sharp and clear exhalation Sylla stands, eyes bright with newfound vigor. He takes a moment to reassess the surroundings, unsure what to make of it overall. “Well, findings aside, we should get you home. You’re quite drunk, and I think we’ve both had enough excitement for tonight.” He pauses. “Will these people be alright if we leave them..? I don’t want to cause them any more trouble than I already have.”
