Debtors going missing was one thing, the Don's men going missing was another. And when said men started showing up dead on the streets it officially became personal. The source of those disappearances was not what anyone had expected however. Instead of a rival mob boss, or even a low level gang, what they found instead...

...had been Praise. And while we're on the topic of Praise.

"My lunar mother above...I take this life so I may gift it too you..." A dagger made from carved bone gleamed in the moonlight, raised high above the chest of an unconscious lower rank.

...They are about to do it again.

Not too far there was a click from a gun, before a voice called out.

“ I wouldn’t do that if I were you, friend. “ They said before firing a warning shot at the blade that Praise was holding.

Praise had a brief moment to begin to turn before the blade was promptly shot out of their hands. It was quiet for a moment.

"That blade is ceremonial."

They sounded almost offended not even looking up as their latest sacrifice got away.

Consigliere just tilted his head, raising a brow before letting out a soft chuckle.

" You just got caught and shot at for trying to kill someone and all you care about is a blade? "

Praise looks up at the moon. "The blade was a gift."

They stared down at their hands, then back at the bone dagger that had clattered on the ground a little ways away. "You would not allow harm to befall me, would you?" Praise asks still looking up at the full moon.

Consigliere raised a brow at Praise, honestly a tad confused by their words before shaking his head and aiming his gun again.

“ I would suggest skipping town.. My boss wouldn’t appreciate his men getting killed and trust me.. he’s a lot more.. mean than I am persay. “

Praise tilts their head as they look back. Then begin to stand.

"I cannot do that I'm afraid...I have not met my requirements for tonight."

Praise pulls their hood up slowly, all too aware of how utterly displeased their leader and lunar mother would be if they returned before having completed a sacrifice.

They just let out a sigh, keeping their aim fixed on Praise. “ Right.. “

"You understand loyalty, do you not?" Praise asked somewhat rhetorically. "If you do, then you understand why I cannot disappoint my leader." They continued, pausing once and then sighing.

"Forgive me for this." Praise immediately lunged forward, snatching up the dagger and turning on Consigliere. The distance was considerable, but Praise was closing the gap fast.
