no one will read this because this blurb is too long and peoples attention spans don’t last longer than a tweet but i thought writing this felt important nonetheless. its not for everyone. that’s okay. we’re taught that if your work doesn’t reach a lot of people it isn’t important. but when someone, even just one person, sees your work and has a connection to it, it means something too. and because it only appeals to one person, the work has more importance. like a pair of jeans that only fit you. intimacy can be important in the consumption of art not just conversation. there’s artistic intimacy. when a work of art deters so many people away that only a few are left standing. maybe even just one.
