“Definitely. I have no doubt if we stay here long enough, the good doctor will come here and make us get some rest,” Fareeha says with a laugh and a shake of her head. “She told me to get some rest after checking me over for injuries already… I doubt she would be pleased to see me up and about right now.”
She drops herself carefully onto the bench, beginning to work on detaching her prosthetic. It sends a weird sensation up her thigh as the synthetic nerves that allow it to sync with the rest of her cut themselves off, and for a moment, it really feels like she’s missing a limb. Of course, the phantom limb sensation quickly replaces it, and she grimaces. It’s never a pleasant feeling, especially when she’s looking at the lack of a limb there.
“I rarely do the legs on my own,” she says. “But I’ve done it once or twice, and it’s definitely not easy at all. Takes way too much time, but sometimes I just have to.” She barks a laugh at the mention of stumbling. “Ah… It is somewhat embarrassing to remember, but yes. I have stumbled and nearly fallen at least once while trying to do this part solo.”
“I don’t really intend to stay here that long.” She did run around a lot during the operation, trying her best to get to everyone at the same time -- shields were important, and she intended to do her best. Fitness is not a thing Maya excels at though, and she could definitely need a rest. Seeing that Fareeha has fallen off somewhere high, Maya thinks she probably needs rest more than she herself does, though. “But if you want, we could do the rocket launcher and the other rocket parts tomorrow morning... and maybe have something for you, if you’d take more food.”
A few strides to where Fareeha has sat, and she kneeled in front of her to carefully attach it for her, fingers taking good care not to touch her anywhere inappropriate.
"Does feel strange, doesn’t it?” The frown in Fareeha’s face is already saying a lot, and she takes great care not to make her feel more uncomfortable, and tries to make this as fast as possible. “These sort of things are not really something you can get used to quickly.” A few deft turns, making sure she actually attached it right -- she’s just assuming, she only watched her attach and remove her arm earlier, and thinks the legs might work the same way -- and after a few moments, finally got it right.
“Well, I’m here, so no falling down and stumbling for you tonight, you’ve had too much of that for one day." She politely draws her hands back, but still readies in case she has to do anything else to help her. “How’s it? Anything wrong with it? D’you want me to get the other leg, too?”
