"A-Are you sure? That looks rather painful...at least allow me to use my healing arts?". She carefully jumped down to where Fischl seemed to have tumbled to, a part of the ground having caved in with barely any warning, the younger girl having pushed Ella away to safety, and so that may be adding to her wishes to aid in the girls recovery. To be honest, Fischl fascinated Ella, and she'd been so excited to get to go out on a mission with her - she hated to think she'd somehow brought along some of her twins bad luck.

"Oof - luckily it doesn't seem like that bad a fall. We should be able to climb out easily". With a soft smile, she summoned her catalyst, small musical notes made of Anemo circling around them as a gentle breeze blew over them, helping to ease the pain and mend minor injuries. Ella was still learning how to use her vision in a lot of ways, but her healing was something she'd made sure to advance quickly in. Ethan had the habit of finding trouble.

"How does that feel?".

Fischl had seen the ground begin to give from Oz's perspective first, reacting with her body even before her senses had returned to herself. Fortunately, she had managed to push Ella to relative safety as the treacherous earth crumbled from beneath her feet.

Now, covered in dirt and stunned temporarily by the fall, Fischl could take stock in her situation. A few bruises, the sting of a scrape, but all things considered not bad.

"It was a most devious trick; the evils that seek my destruction surely believe that in my state of lessened power, I would be unable to extend my protection to my companions."

The breeze of anemo ruffled through her hair, a coolness that soothed her spirit as much as it did for her little pains. Fischl sighed appreciatively, then held a hand up to Ella in a silent request for help up onto her feet.

"Like the smooth velvet of darkness that cradles the dreamer," she replied once standing, brushing filth from her clothes.

She eyed the short climb and judged it to be just as Ella said. Even so, she bit back her groan of frustration. Climbing out of a hole she'd fallen into felt like a blow to the image she wanted to project, the cool and unflappable princess from beyond the stars. If only she could borrow Oz's wings as well as his eyes.

//I'm thinking so much about Pantalone bringing up that Dottore hates Zandik and I have many thoughts about it that I want to talk about later. I've just been obsessed with it. Might want to read through the dialogue again though. I did noooot pay as much attention to all of it as I would've liked.

Also I feel like Pantalone might be one of very few people (if anyone else) that would know this about Dottore unless it's come up before? If so, I like this a lot

//In the one hand I'm holding Pantalone when the Traveler first encounters him in game, talking about his appreciation for their abilities and in response to their hostility, talking about how just because they're enemies doesn't mean that they always have to fight or be against each other or whatever.

And in the other hand I'm holding a couple patches ago where Dottore says something like just because they've been enemies doesn't mean that they can't work together.

And I'm probably butchering both instances because I am not in the mood to go combing for what exactly they said but I'm pretty sure they've got the same sort of vibe, and I'm thinking a lot about that.

//Dottore wishes he was one of those scientists that everyone thought had batshit ideas except for one guy who believed in him and they created a device that allowed them to tap into knowledge the human brain cannot comprehend and perceiving (and being perceived by) a malevolent extra-dimensional entity that hunts down every member of the team or they all go insane until the last guy, with amnesia, puts together the story of what happened through a series of letters to each other, journal entries, and research notes, until he ultimately succumbs to the same spiral into maddness as the rest of them. Unfortunately he can only do normal things that everyone thinks are batshit and be unethical. 😔
