Maisie peered over to the male and smiled, eyes softening as she caught his gaze. “I just.. I like to help people, you know?” She sighed, shrugging her shoulders. “If I have the means to then, why not?” The brunette spoke nonchalantly.

He should have expected such an explanation, though, it did trouble him, not knowing her whereabouts. “I see, I’m sure he did it for good reason.” He did not believe his statement, but it was a kind thing to say. “Well, at least you are here now.” He added with a smile.
Maisie laughed lightly then gently slapped her friend on the shoulder. “I’m kidding. I spent the majority of the time in the hospital. They needed all the help the could get..” She sighed softly, wrinkling her nose as she swept a hand back through her brunette curls.

Despite his attempts to explain himself, it appeared the brunette knew exactly how he felt, though, he was not truly ready to admit it. Instead, he laughed it off, shaking his head in her direction. “Whatever helps you sleep at night.” He voiced, chuckling softly to himself. “Where have you been?” He changed the subject, clearing his throat as he did.
Maisie laughed lightly in response to his statement then shrugged her shoulders. “My brother locked me in my room for a solid two weeks during you know, everything that happened with the Death Eaters.” She was joking, obviously.

Now that he really thought about it, did worry about her? Of course he did, but it wasn’t something he was going to shout about, he kept himself private, he was afraid of things like that. “I just wanted to make sure you’re alright.” He repeated, not answering her question, in fact, not knowing how to.
Maisie couldn’t stop the smile from widening as he spoke once again. She was almost certain that he had been worried about her. The young brunette likely wouldn’t admit it, but she had definitely worried about him. “I didn’t know you cared.” She teased as she peered back up at him, the blush still prominent on her otherwise ivory skin.

“— Where have you been? I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” He sighed, rubbing his head lightly, exhaling the breath which hitched in his throat. He had been worried, naturally, but he was relieved to know she was alright. He knew he was being slightly over dramatic, but somehow, he always assumed the worst.
Maisie peered up toward the male as she heard his voice, a slight smile tugging at her lips. “You’ve been looking for me?” She questioned, her cheeks deepening in colour as she broke her gaze away from him in hope of disguising the obvious smile that now laced her lips.
