Jeongguk can no longer count how many times he asked himself that exact question. The answer had always been clear because, yes, of course it was. If given the choice, he would make the same decisions all over again. The consequences of his actions are laid out in front of him like an ominous deck of cards and the universe asks him to choose a path which, he knows, will inevitably seal his fate.

He puts one hand on the red silk band spanning around his hips, partially covering his black leather pants. With the other, he takes the dagger resting on the jade green satin pillow of the bed, abandoning the gold coins thrown all over the sheets. He looks at Taehyung and smirks, lifting the dagger like a trophy before pointing the tip of the blade at his friend's head.

"It was." He says. "It was worth every second we wasted and every drop of blood we tasted on our tongues. My little treasure will repay it all. Tenfold."

He shouldn’t be here, caught in a conflict between Alphas and rogues. He shouldn’t be the least desirable Omega in the world, earning titles like: ‘Rogue Omega’, 'Alpha Killer’, 'A freak of nature’.

None of this should’ve ever happened. Jungkook and him should’ve never met.
