Assessment work out on display
Photos of me saying I Love You No and Help Me into a wee round mirror. They are printed onto transfer paper then ironed onto raw silk.
Douglas Moorlands audio workshop. I am interested in continuing to learn about creating audio tracks . Unfortunately on the workshop day we could not continue to learn about the audition app as the computers did not work with it , but I did some work at home and spent some time with Dougie so that he could explain some things to me.
I constructed this frame to hang all the lengths of clay on to and I wanted them to make a wave pattern when you turn te wire but I have not managed to get it working properly . Now I am going to just hang them in the Frame to display the sound wave pattern I made them in.
15-year-old Houston synesthete experiencing mirror-touch with machines
An article in conversation with a girl who has mirror touch synesthesia, she has it with machines.
I have mirror touch synesthesia not with machines, but with a range of other things. This is one of the subjects of language and connection that I want to explore and creatively develop further .
Went to dovecot in Edinburgh today and saw an exhibition of May Morris’ embroidery work and beautiful design drawings. A fascinating insight into her life , parents and politics as well as incredible work.
Also had very well displayed exhibits about various textile projects and amazing monoprints by Barbara Rae and rugs taken from her monoprint pictures.Really stunning. The colour and detail made me keep asking how did she do that.
Lindsay Olson jumped at the chance to take part in an ocean acoustics science expedition and then explore the project’s...

This article is inspiration for, hopefully, how I can continue to develop my practice after last terms explorations and art making. I want to create a body of work exploring my mimesis of water, trees, wind, spiritedness and all beings I feel connected and in communication with, in areas of nature, and also with reference to my interactions with humans within community environments. Hanna Tuulikkis’ voice and musicality and articulation are very refined, the work is amazing and beautiful. I don’t have these skills and will need to find my own way to voice and express the frequencies and vibrations of the languages I use, feel and hear to communicate within the natural world.

Waves and dots. Singing and blocks. I love this initiation dance for a wee boy. The dance starts and stops in waves like the waves and dots in paintings.
With her signature wit and wisdom, Emily Levine meets her ultimate challenge as a comedian/philosopher: she makes dying funny. In this personal talk, she takes us on her journey to make friends with reality -- and peace with death. Life is an enormous gift, Levine says: "You enrich it as best you can, and then you give it back."
Just as pressure gradients traveling through air are acoustic waves and result in sound, density gradients traveling through plasma in outer space give rise to unique harmonies and sounds. Known as plasma-whistler modes, distinct plasma regions around the Earth each have their own characteristic sounds.

Back in April this year I was called to a brainstorm with the Horizon production team to discuss the science of colour. It seemed like such a fun and compelling idea and addresses the kind of questions we've all asked ourselves. Do you see the same colours that I see? What if what I see as y...
