Light danced through cerulean eyes, amusement glistening in them as she watched Sam dissolve into a struggling mess on what to do in regard to her, flustered and hesitant with his movements. It was interesting, thinking about how things had gone for her--her last boyfriend had been some confident smug-ass that treated her like she was some delicate doll to be handled with care and shown off to everyone else; Sam was... nervous, careful, but never treated her like that. He was a genuine kind of guy. How the hell did she ever like a guy like Trent?
Slowly, one hand managed to unwind from her fingers to brace her palm against his cheek, a slight effort to calm him down and make him focus on her. "Sam, listen... it's still me, alright? Just because we're starting over on dating doesn't mean we're strangers. I mean... consider it payment for skipping out on our first online date," while laughing slightly as the rest of it slipped out. Oh she remembered that still. She leaned her head to the side, letting her hand slide back behind his head to lock her fingers behind his neck again, eyes partially lidded as she watched him and listened.
"Alright Date Expert; let's... actually not." Rolling her eyes to the ceiling, she fastened on a thoughtful expression, though she knew exactly where she was going with the conversation. "I mean c'mon Sam, you do--did so much stuff for me before, let's do something for you for a change. I think that would be a nice change, I mean it doesn't always have to be about the girl, so what kind of date would you like to do?"
Oh no you don't Sam. You won't flip it that easy.
