Ich liebe Dich || Becca & Wolf
Wolf’s sarcasm only makes Becca blush more and she looks down at her hands. She’s a bit shocked to find they are stopped, but takes his hand and climbs out of the cab readily. Looking around, her ever-present grin returns to her face. “Oh Wolf… I love the harbour. It’s so beautiful at night.” She keeps hold of his hand as she pulls him over to stop and look over the water.
His fingers curl around her in response and he gazes across the water as she tugs him to a stop. "Marine Conservation." He jokes quietly, stuffing the hand not in hers into his pockets. Maybe he should stop having a grudge against gloves. After a few minutes of looking at the moon reflected in the water, he tugs her along. "It would seem down here is one of the few places you can find solitude." And it's true, but for a few other people, the pathway is mostly clear.

"There were humans too, though. I’m friends with a few of the people who work there… So it wasn’t just me and the fish. Cause that’s just super lame." She laughs, shrugging sheepishly as she blushes.
Wolf dramatically sighs, "Oh good, you had me worried there, Bec." He leans forward to talk to the cabbie, "You can just drop us off here, sir." A little bit of a walk never hurt anyone, and it's mercifully not that cold out. He climbs out, looking left to right before offering a hand to Becca to help her out as well.

"I’m not going to be disappointed, so hush." She looks over at him with a smile then nods. "I did, actually. Your flowers made me miss the fish so I went to the aquarium. …I just realized how lame that sounds. But there were cool displays and it was quite romantic because of Valentine’s Day. There were quite a few couples too."
Wolf shakes his head in amusement. "It may sound lame, but I doubt it was. That's you after all...though my definition of not alone includes human company, though I don't blame you. Fish can be very good company."

For a second she takes it as if he isn’t excited at all, but she realizes that is ridiculous and brushes it off. “I can do that. I’m actually really good at being excited for more than just me.” She says with a smile as she climbs into the cab.
"And that certainly isn't a bad thing, just as long as you're prepared to b disappointed as well." Wolf follows her into the cab, and they're barely situated when they're off, he having already told the cabbie where they're going before picking Becca up. "So did you take my advice and not spend Valentines Day alone?"
Ich liebe Dich || Becca & Wolf
"Too late, I’m already excited. That is one thing everyone should know about me. I get excited over the littlest things." She smiled and followed him out of her building onto the streets of NYC.
Their cab is waiting outside and Wolf opens the door for her. "Well I suppose it's a good thing you can be excited for the both of us." Not that he wasn't excited, he was, just more nervous than anything.
Ich liebe Dich || Becca & Wolf
Becca’s grin only widened as she saw his lip twitch up into his own little version of a smile. She had yet to see him with a full genuine smile, but until then, these little ones could make her day. “I did, and I can’t wait to see where we’re going.” She grabbed her purse and stepped out into the hallway beside him, pulling the door shut behind her. Even in her heels, he towered over her, and she had to look up to see his face. “Ready?”
"Don't get too terribly excited." He said leading the way out. "It's a quaint place not many people go to."
Ich liebe Dich || Becca & Wolf
This was their first official date, and Becca was ecstatic. True, they had gone out before; to the winter fair, and on New Year’s Eve, but she wasn’t sure if he had considered those dates. This time it was different and they both knew it. As she got ready she thought about the last night they had been at the bar and how the night had ended. This time she was prepared for something like that, and she wouldn’t let it bother her. A soft knock at her door pulled her from her thoughts and she opened the door, grinning as she saw him standing there. “Hi.”
Wolf didn't like cliches, and he certainly wasn't about to think this as their 'first date' or whatever you called it. That just made things incredibly more complex, confusing and extra prone to go sideways. No, instead this could be a simple dinner between the two of them...whatever they were, because he wasn't quite willing to call it a relationship either, because all he'd done was hurt her in the process. "Hello Bec." He said, unable to stop the corner of his mouth to twitch upwards. She looked stunning without effort, even if she had put hours into her appearance, Wolf was fairly sure it was unnecessary. "I hope you brought your appetite."
Ich liebe Dich || Becca & Wolf
This was a stupid idea. Granted, it was he idea to start out with, but there was no way this night was going to end well...none of the other ones he'd spent with Becca had gone any differently, so what was to say this wouldn't end the exact same way. Wolf stood outside her door, trying to remember how to breathe, not just because he was nervous to see her but also because he was afraid of what might happen. It would be so much better to just walk away, break her heart and just be done with it, but he didn't want that either, though it may be the better option. No. Wolf steeled himself to rise his fist and knock quietly on the door.
Wolf ✆ Becca
Becca: Right, yes... *pauses and calms down, speaking quietly* Bye, Wolf.
Wolf: Until later, Bec. [hangs up]
Wolf ✆ Becca
Becca: *super flustered* I- I um... Y-yes. Yeah. Seven sounds perfect.
Wolf: [amused] Great. I'll see you then, Bec.
Wolf ✆ Becca
Becca: *doesn't speak for a minute* You're incredible.
Wolf: Und du bist wunderschön und noch mehr klug. I'll pick you up at seven.
Wolf ✆ Becca
Becca: I would say don't worry about it, but I'm afraid you'd take back asking me to dinner if I did.
Wolf: [in German] I wouldn't dream of doing that.
Wolf ✆ Becca
Becca: *humongous grin* I would love to have dinner with you, Wolf.
Wolf: It's the least I could do for missing yesterday.
Wolf ✆ Becca
Becca: Alright, I'll give you that. Oh, don't worry about it. I hope you enjoyed yourself, wherever you were...
Wolf: It wasn't nearly as enjoyable as being here would have been, don't worry. Which brings me to why I called. [pause] Would you like to have dinner sometime?
Wolf ✆ Becca
Becca: Cliche's are cute though. I object.
Wolf: I think the flowers in general were cliche enough. I wish I had been around to give them to you.
Wolf ✆ Becca
Becca: You don't? Why's that? Also, I still think you're clever.
Wolf: Too cliche. You think too highly of me.
