THE CONCEPT

The goal of this project is to make a big, bright collaborative art piece between as many artists as possible!

A bunch of submitted Mikus of all sorts will be falling from the sky whilst a bigger miku watches and blows bubbles! 

The pallet will be very bright so go crazy with your colours!

Below is my concept sketch but the layout is subject to change as I figure out how many submissions we get!

General Rules

One submission per person

no AI, tracing, nsfw

Submitted art MUST be your own

Art must be:

full body

chibi adjacent

transparent PNG

500x500 pixels

coloured/rendered

Your art might have some elements not visible in the final image due to overlap!

You can do whatever you want with your submission art I will not own it or anything

Miku Rules

Miku designs from songs, games, colabs, concerts, contests and original designs are all welcome!

Doubles of Miku designs are allowed!

Mikus of every colour, gender, race and size are canon and welcome! Feel free to show this in your submission if you'd like! (as long as the miku is still readable as the miku you're drawing, go crazy)

poses, designs and outfits must be SFW

Any offensive/ insensitive/ gore designs of any sort will not be used.

I am allowed to refuse to include a Miku for any reason if I feel they have broken these rules in any way.

I will not be chasing you up if I decide to not include you for any of the above reasons.

Samo-chan crepe A thin, wrapped pancake from 13th-century France, Crepes are a popular breakfast and dessert food. They can be filled and topped with a variety of foods. While not traditional, my research has led me to believe that nerikiri (a Japanese dessert made from white bean paste) is the best option for sculpting Samo, ensuring the dessert stays soft without the crunch of cookies or cream falling apart. Samo-chan’s crepe is decorated with wafer rolls, banana slices, and a cherry garnish.

Samo-chan sundae a complexly layered drink- if you can call it that, a spoon will be more useful than a straw- with home-dyed vanilla ice cream, a variety of fruits and cream topped with pocky sticks and a Samo-chan butter cookie.

Orange Parfait a traditional layered parfait with orange slices, cream and cake; topped with a generous orange circle and chocolate. The sweetness of the confectionery contrasted with the sharp citrus creates a varied palate to prevent one flavor from overwhelming the other.

what tags can I use for directory?

all questions and suggestions will be posted under #ask. General discussion will be under #talk. The faq will remain pinned. You can look under #zine promo for all advertisements/forms!

what if I’ve never experimented with cooking before?

chefs will not be creating recipes totally from scratch! You’re allowed to find a recipe online for a lemon cake and adjust it to fit your needs for the recipe! You don’t need to be a professional <3

is there an age limit?

technically no! Discord requires users to be 13+, but a tumblr community can be made for younger! However, we ask that inexperienced cooks have someone older helping them in the kitchen :)

will there be merch/will it be for charity?

if I’m able to get an adult to handle finances, and there’s enough interest, I would love to have some merch pieces or a physical release! If we do get to that stage, it would absolutely be for charity, likely in the interest of those that provide food for people in need!!

will there be any card bans?

I understand that revival my dream and island panic are considered controversial by the western fans. RMD has no featured dishes or drinks in the set, so that isn’t something to worry over; island panic has food in every card, but as most of it is very simple/uncooked (like fruits and veggies) other than emu and meiko, those two cards will be the only two of the set up to consideration anyways. They won’t be banned per se, they just don’t meet the standards to be considered.

what dishes will be in the book?

We plan on including a mix of desserts, regular meals, and drinks that meet several skill levels. As of right now, we would like to include 20 dishes- one for each PRSK character- picked from one of their cards that features food. We would like to avoid using birthday cards, unless push comes to shove; same for untrained cards. We will host polls during the application and selection periods to decide which cards will be used and by extension which dishes! Meaning you have a say!

accessibility/allergies?

we will try our best to avoid overusing common allergens (ex. tree nuts, soy, etc) but due to baking often requiring milk and eggs, we will have to implement these. We will, however, find substitutions for these items if possible! This also goes for foods people cannot eat due to religion, such as pork. There will also be low-level, simple recipes included for those who are differently abled and may have struggles with labor and fatigue along with the more difficult ones for people who may want a challenge. I will also be looking into adding a guide for textures for those with sensory issues!

which measuring system will be used?

I myself am unfamiliar with the metric system of measuring, but we would like to make both a metric and imperial version, at least for digital. I will likely recruit someone who does use metric to translate these things.

can I suggest dishes for the zine?

while we haven’t decided on specific character dishes yet, and will be holding polls for them, you may suggest bonus dishes! Just please be aware that if we are struggling for chefs, we may not get those done!

is there a blacklist of people who can participate?

not in specific. We block people on this blog freely. You’re welcome to try and contact us on one of our other contacts if you think there was a mistake or you just want to know. I’ll leave you unblocked from my main blog for a while in such cases.

Hello there! Welcome to Sekaiology, a Project SEKAI zine focused on... well, SEKAIs, the VIRTUAL SINGERS that inhabit them and the mysteries surrounding them.

This will be a free, digital-only zine that should be delivered sometime in November. The zine will feature not only a focus on the official SEKAIs, but also the SEKAIs of fanunits as well as whatever concepts the artists and writers want to explore.

The runner of this zine is @astratoastra. I've been in this community for pretty much the game's entire life and these Hatsune Miku therapy pocket dimensions fascinate me, especially after the movie compelled me to Batsumiku. And I thought that'd make a cool zine concept, so here we are!
