I want to start off by saying that I am absolutely in love with the new Fandroid MKII voicebank currently in progress as of sending this question. He hasn't even been released yet and has already become my favorite utauloid overall. Seriously 💛

I do apologize if you get asked about him a whole lot compared to everyone else and I hope it's not too much trouble but I wanted to ask, how has he been lately? :> How's he coming along so far?

I understand that release dates and everything aren't finalized unless everyone feels comfortable and confident enough to make a voicebank available for download, so I hope this isn't seen as rushing you or pestering anyone working on him or any other voicebanks

Thank you so much for your question, alongside being incredibly understanding of our production and release process!

Sadly, MK.II has been in Dev Hell, and it's mainly because of us needing to wait for a day where the voice actor for him is okay and ready for recording. His English bank is actually near completion, but we are not as confident with the Japanese vocal library, as it does have some issues that we do need to work through before we can give a proper demo for it. We need to talk to the V.A. about what can be done.

All in all, we really wanna thank you for your patience and support for MK.II! We're so sorry that he's been in development for 2 years, but I can assure you that, once he's finally complete, the wait will be worth it.

In the meantime, we do encourage you to check out the other vocalists we have available, and keep an eye out for any other future releases as well!

I just came here to say ive only recently learned abt yall and i wanted to say i love everything yall made so far and is obsessed with some of the works you've done with some synths keep up the good work!

We truly do put a lot of work into our projects, and we want to inspire people to use vocal synths in a way! A lot of our stuff can be used in a beginner friendly way, but you're always free to ask us questions in regards to usage in the event you are ever stuck on what to do.

As for our PV and demo work, we really do wanna let our creativity shine through. We do believe in putting heart and soul into what you do. Again, we want to inspire people, and we truly do hope it shows in all of our work.

If you do end up buying the rights to fandroid, whats gonna happen to the original story and characters from it? Will the other characters be featured and will the lore change

Hello, and thank you so much for sending us a question!

In regards to the original story and lore, we do not plan on doing anything to it, but we are interested in essentially creating an alternate universe with a lot of the lore as a base! We do have an idea for what exactly we would want to do for it going forward, and thus, understanding some people wouldn't want what's there changed, we want to do that alternate universe.

As for the characters, there are currently no plans for using them out of respect for the original cast and team that worked on it. Unless they want to work with us in the future, we think it would be best to not do anything with the characters out of safety until then.

We would absolutely love to work with the original team, and we *have* worked with Leequadd/Nic Garcia before, and he's incredibly lovely to work with! If anyone else from that team does see this post, though, we'd be happy to reach out and talk to them if they so desire!

However, most of our current plans only involve virtual singers. Most of our focus right now is more so on multiple other projects we are currently working on, including Corrie AI.

We do apologize if this isn't the answer you were looking for, but I do hope this helps in regards to everything.

Hi, founder and CEO here now! I'm going to also give my own answer as well. We tend to not give release dates until we're 100% sure that a voicebank is complete. This is the case especially after Mahalia Paz ended up being delayed for months due in part to things not lining up properly and not being fully complete when we gave that initial release date.

We want to focus on quality rather than quantity, so we want to take however long it takes to make sure the VB is as best as can be. If we rush, there'll be a higher likelihood of there being errors, so we want to take as long as possible.

TL;DR: She's not complete yet, but when we feel confident that she's complete, we'll drop proper snippets of the VB before release, as well as a release date. Just expect her to be released around September 25th at most.
