Demi & Ace is an upcoming webseries that focuses on two friends on the asexual spectrum and their journey through series of mishaps familiar from romantic comedies. The show breaks stereotypes assigned to asexuality and offers representation to the group that has barely had any before.
The series by the creators of @projectgreengables is written by @lauraeklundnhaga, who will also play one of the leads.

I know it's been a while and i'm not sure if anyone still checks this inbox, but I was just thinking about pgg a lot these last couple days and how much I miss it - you folks have created such a wonderful show and it's had such a huge impact on my life. Anyway, if you're still checking these, I just wanted to share my nostalgia with you and wish you all a beautiful day and the best of luck for whatever all of you are up to these days!

Hi!That was the plan :) The timing of it depends on our super trooper editor Tuulia, when she has time. Those are usually the most time consuming.

And it felt like home. Finally, I’m home.”
I’ve been wrecking my brains for what to say here since… well probably pretty much since we first drew out the spine of the third season with Janika. And I still have no idea. This project is over. (And, coincidentally it’s ending happens to land on a lot of other life changes, so it hits extra hard) And I have no One Small Step For Man -statement. So I am just gonna write down everything this project has meant for me, make a bunch of spelling mistakes, and wipe off tears the entire time.
From the very beginning the best thing was the people I did this with. It was miraculous to me, that so many lovely, dedicated people were willing to spend their free time working on this silly little idea I had. And not just working, but developing it, coming up with ideas, and truly caring, for something I’d come up with. PGG shoots were one of the best things (and at times the only good things) going on in my life. It felt so good to create something from scratch. And even when we faced ALL OF THE OBSTACLES, I SWEAR TO GOD, we prevailed.
I’ve had a connection to this story since my grandmother read it out to me as a child. Anne, and L.M Montgomery in general have truly shaped the person I am. I did have imagination, but I might’ve never started to consciously develop it without Anne. I wouldn’t started to write when I was seven without Emily. These books and these characters are in the very core of my being. And this project was not only fun, but also an homage to L.M. Montgomery and also the relationship I had with my grandmother. It felt right, like it was meant to be, to make this series of Anne of Green Gables. Without PGG I probably wouldn’t have realised how much I like filmmaking! Like, I always wanted to be an actor, but through this experience I learned, that I had an eye for cinematography and directing. That I could do my own projects as well, not just audition for others’. So we made this thing, we had so much fun, we laughed and brainstormed, and did castings and joked around in a group chat, and became friends. And we always said, that we were doing this for the experience and for the joy of creating, and that we would keep doing it, even if no one watched. And then came you guys. I know it’s a cliche to say, that the audience is the best part of a show, but you guys truly are. We never expected this amount of love, and dedication, and analysis. The way you guys truly appreciated every little joke, and hint, and thing we created. There has been essays written, analysis, and gif sets and screenshots of Twitter-convos. I have a wall calendar for 2017 with my face on every month!! My phone’s lock screen is a screen grab of a tumblr comment someone made. It has been such a joy, and a comfort and validation. To have you guys engage. I don’t know if I would have the self-confidence to pursue art I do now, without you guys.
There has been some talk, about PGG not maybe having the same following as some other shows, but I mean… Who are we? We’re (originally just 12) kids from the most irrelevant country in the world, who wanted to tell a story, and the fact that our story found you guys. And not just that it found people, but that it found specifically you guys. You, who are so full of ideas and love, and compassion and talent and dedication. Seriously, the best audience. One of the hardest things for me to lose is my weekly PGG tag stalk on Tumblr. I’m gonna miss you guys.
And I’m gonna miss Anne. Does that make sense? I’m gonna miss the universe we’ve created, with it’s characters and little quirks. And I’m gonna miss Anne, because I have spent so many years inside her head (like I can literally give a multi-minute speech on why she prefers tea over coffee, ask Janika), it is weird, and kid of lonely to not get to do that anymore. I’m also gonna miss our cast, because the brutal fact of life is, some of them I’ll probably never see again. We all live all over the world now. I’m gonna move out of Finland too, soon. And we won’t have the time to have a proper “funeral” for our production. I love these people and really hope to create something with them one day.
It’s also scary to kind of… be without a job, if you get my meaning. Like, even though none of us got paid for PGG, still, whenever someone would ask what you were working on, you could proudly tell them “We have a web series!”. And it’s not like I’m running out of things to do, but, you know.
Anyway, PGG is not dead, ever properly. At least for a while I’ll be checking the PGG tumblr, and twitter for questions, etc. And please please PLEASE keep filling the tag with your art. Write fanfiction! Make gifs! Tell me your headcanons of their future! This is so sad and so weird. But I’m also really proud. I’m really proud to have put together a production team at the age of 18, and to have IMDB credits from our very own project. I’m not gonna list all the people I wanna thank. They’re all in the video anyway. I guess, the only one not mentioned is my mum, without whom, I would’ve gone insane so long ago. And like a lot of this was SUPER HARD. And especially with all of our changing life situations I would not have the ability or the stamina to continue on. But damn, did we make a good thing. Thanks to everyone who has watched, and I mean, keep watching and sharing. It’s not like it’s unwatchable just because there are no new episodes. Introduce someone new to the universe of Project Green Gables. I’m gonna miss it so much. Now, before I ramble on any more. Thank you. Love, Laura Eklund Nhaga

I know the initial plan was to end the show at the end of season three, and your whole team definitely deserves a break, but is their any chance of continuing in the future? And would a petition from fans make that more likely to happen?
I can’t tell you how much this warms our hearts, but unfortunately I do not see that happening.
Although we’ve been publishing until today, a lot of the crew has moved on years ago. We live in different parts of the world, and it just wouldn’t... work. I’m sorry, and thank you again.

Hi! Y'all have just been mentioned (and quoted) in a programme on different adaptations of "Anne of Green Gables" on Polish Radio Three. Most of it was dedicated to the Netflix series, but they discussed YouTube adaptations in the introduction.

Reviving this blog?
I feel like it is my responsibility (and also generally beneficial) to revive this tumblr. This is, and will be the home of all of my different projects coming up. I do so many different things: spoken word (x,x), acting (x), writing, singing, general activism etc. And I recognise all of that is really hard to navigate for someone who is interested. So I’m planning to make this sort of a central blog, that you should follow, if you like, and are interested in my work.
I’ll be reblogging PGG gifs (fuck I love those), posting links to events and finished projects, and just… musings of creating, if that’s okay. Also I was thinking of maybe doing monthly updates listing all the things I have going on, even if I don’t have the time to post every once in a while.
Vittusirkus, my other url (finnish for cunt circus, you can blame Jutta for that one) will keep excisting as my reblog, “sjw”, angry bullshit blog, that you are very welcome to follow. This one will be a more… I guess official, or atleast organised one.

LAUNCH OF A WEBSITE I’m working on a website for similar reasons I’m reviving, and originally created this blog. It will also work as a sort of… CV, portfolio, or archive I guess. This will be done as soon as I figure square space out.
SHORT FILMS, LOTS OF SHORT FILMS I recently took part in a Kino event in Helsinki, in which a bunch of film lovers create shortfilms with 0 budget. In that event I featured in 3 different films, that will be coming to the internet soon, I hope. These include and awesome Get Out-esque film about racism, a beautiful lesbian music video, and my own film, Revelations. Coming soon, to an internet near you :) I’m also attending a similar event in Berlin this August, and hopefully many more films will be created there.
MY SERIAL STORY After overwhelming support (srsly, thank you), I have started to work on my serial story in earnest. I’m really excited about it, and really hope you guys will love it. I can tell you now, that it will be my take on fantasy genre, which in many ways is kind of returning to my roots. I also now have a title: The Witch of Aergrad So feel free to use that tag (or… um.. “TWoA,” I guess), if you want to discuss it (not that there is much to discuss), or are looking for updates. Updated considering this series will be posted on this blog, but also reblogged on vittusirkus most probably. The series will eventually have it’s own tumblr, but that’s not really relevant yet.
SECRET THINGY (not in the near future) There is also a project I am a part of, that I don’t know if I can talk about yet. It is not my project at all, I just… am in it. But I do have a central role, I think y’all will like it. It might be years in the making though, but I will keep you updated, also on this blog.
YOU TUBE? She said, tentatively, simultaneously remembering that she still doesn’t have a consistent schedule. And tbh, I might never. YouTube requires so much maintenance that I don’t think I will ever be very consistent with it. I would like to be like a Nathan Zed type of vlogger, but my content is not anything near his quality.
